Well I had wanted to be a vegetarian for a long time. I never really believed in eating animals. I mean I know that there's a food chain but whenever I ate it I used to feel really bad. I don't just think that animals are cute, I think they have rights. People kill and eat animals everyday and millions of animals are killed a year and many of those cows and pigs were bread to be killed. Now I wouldn't like the idea that I was born just so that in a couple of years I would be chopped up and sold off into little pieces. And another thing, if so many animals are killed for us then how come it is such big news if a shark kills someone, I don't think it is cuz the shark would eat you. Animals are misjudged, people say that war is a bad thing because innocent people are killed, well people kill elephants for their tusks and they are just as innocent. It is exactly the same as being rasist to people, because people are a different skin colour and speak different languages doesn't mean that's a bad thing. I know you can learn languages and get to jnow other people it doesn't mean we can't communicate with animals just in a different way. Some animals are very intelligent and all animals have a right to live. we don't know what cows think, just think how scared you would be if you knew you were going to be murdered so that someone else can live. Everyone should think about other creatures before themselves because humans aren't as brilliant and wonderful as some people think. Laura :-) |
