Ira Kessey is a Northern California artist with over 25 years of experience creating glass, wood and stone art.
Ira is best known for his Viking Rune Stone carvings inspired by his Scandinavian heritage. He also specializes in landscape art including decorative stone and boulder carvings, public sculptures, monuments, address markers and signs.
Ira began his lifelong passion for creating art early in childhood and upon graduating from high school started his first business "Frosted Ideas" where he created exquisitely crafted windows, doors and interiors both in private homes and commercially. He still works with sandblasted and stained glass today.
Ira lives in the Tahoe-Truckee area where the weathered stones and massive boulders of the Sierras have long influenced his creative drive and artistic passion. |
