Fans that normally lurked around the fandom, now took part, people who'd never sent a postcard in their life, were now sending hundreds, hard-earned money was now being spent on various campaigns.

Flowers and Beanie Babies were sent to kill them with kindness, polls with absurdly one-sided results were taken, magazine ads were bought, cakes and balloons with messages on them were sent, a truck billboard ad was bought and driven around LA, food and blood drives were held as fans took the show's central message of 'helping the helpless' to heart, millions of postcards and letters were sent pleading with the WB and other networks and media to do anything to save our beloved show.

May 19, 2004 came and the fandom wept for the loss of such a brilliant show that's greatness surpassed most if not all of the sorry excuses for tv shows that were renewed for the Fall 2004 season.
Our show may be lost, but our characters aren't because we're not done yet! While David Boreanaz doesn't seem up for tv movies right now, we've got a whole Jossverse of characters that would be wonderful in a tv movie or another spinnoff. So the fight is not over nor will it ever be so long as there's interest and Joss has repeatedly expressed his interest in this. Joss hasn't given up and we're not either so please do your part even if it's only taking part in the ongoing campaigns.
