Part One

"Do'aho"
"Teme, fox! How dare you call me a do’aho?! How dare you make doubt of Tensai's abilities?!"

Rukawa looked at the self-proclaimed Tensai, slung his sport bag over his shoulder and repeated, "Do'aho."

The red haired boy flushed with anger; his face became red in match with his hair. "TEME KITSUNE! CHOTTO MATTE!" And he rushed to catch up to the fox-eyed boy that already went ahead.

All their teammates, that were standing outside the gim after basketball practice, just shrugged. Such quarrels between these two players were a customary thing and everyone already got used to them. Only Mitsui smirked with amusement. He liked to look on those one-year's fights.

Meantime, Rukawa was directing to his bicycle. Hanamichi, hot on the "kitsune's" heels, didn't cease to abuse him, what Rukawa ignored calmly.

"Are you Rukawa Kaede?"

Covering his surprise very well, Rukawa stopped and faced the speaker. The unfamiliar dark-haired man that was worn all in black leather clothes scanned him with the cold eyes.

"Yes," Rukawa said. "So what do you want?"

The stranger's eyes flashed dangerously. He threw his cigarette away and replied slowly.

"My girlfriend Mina always speaks about you. She only do that calls your name here and there. She always compares me with you. . . I hate you, Rukawa. And I want you dead. . ."

Rukawa's and standing nearby Hanamichi's eyes widened as a gun appeared in the stranger's hand. All happened so fast that Rukawa never had a chance.

Shot. . . Then another one. . .

Rukawa didn't scream or cry out, he just jerked back. Keen pain burnt his sternum. Rukawa gasped and pressed his hand against his chest, as if trying to stop the flow of hot blood. Falling backward, the fox-eyed boy thought absently that his body holds two more bullets then he wants them to be there.

Aghast Hanamichi caught Rukawa just before the boy hit the ground. The red-head carefully put his teammate down on the ground; the dark head cradled against Hanamichi's chest. With horror, he stared on Rukawa's bloody shirt.

Hanamichi saw as that psycho, who shot in Rukawa, was knocked down by Mitsui's powerful punch. In a trice, Akagi appeared next to Mitsui and they began to beat up their victim together.

Deciding that they can deal with all without his help, Hanamichi transfered his eyes at the bloody body in his arms. Rukawa's face was very pale, and his breathing was spasmodic and light.

"Fox?" Hanamichi managed to say, not paying attention to a fear that striked through his body.

Rukawa sneered slightly. "I don't even know her," he said, closing his eyes.

"Fox?! Hey, kitsune, don't dare to die for me!" The red-head cried out desperately. "I ... I still have to defeat you!"

Fox-shaped eyes opened slowly. "Do'aho," whispered Rukawa in a barely audible voice and once again his eyes were closed. His entire body tensed and shuddered, then went limp. Horrorstricken, Hanamichi stared at the blood covered boy, lying in his arms. Beautiful, but lifeless.

"Fox? Hey, Fox . . .? Fooooox!!"
