Coach's Corner
Welcome to my page where I put down some of my ideas and thoughts about Mini Footy, and what I think that the boys what to get out of playing and learning the game of Rugby League.

Not only do I think rugby league is the best spectator sport be it, the NRL ,sunday footy, but I also believe some of the best and most exciting football you will ever see is, watching your child ,grandchild , nephew, or friends etc. playing footy on a Saturday morning.

But its not just about football on the field, but to me as a coach its just as important for the kids to have great support on the side lines from there family and friends. And you will see how they improve throughout the season and grow not only as footy players but as kids as well.

I might have a team to coach but as a coach I look as it as a team made up of 12 individuals who are all differant and I try and treat them as individuals. And try to bring out the best in each of them. Which when added together hopely will make one great little football team.

On Winning , anyone that was with me last year will know that winning comes second to me compared to the effort that the boys put in on the field, Winning is just what the scores of each team add up to at the end of the game. To me it doesn't show the effort on the field , I'd rather know each one of the boys played to best of there ability  and done their best then worry what the score is.

Teamwork, to play in a team we need teamwork ,we need  12 individuals going in the same  direction  and  with the extra teamwork from our off the field team  (parents, supporters etc). to encourage the boys to have fun and try their best at training and in games.

Things that we can't control .
1.The weather
2.The referee
What we can't control we don't worry about.

Goals for this season
For every boy to enjoy their footy
To improve they skills on what they did last year, last week, or last game or last training session.
To strive to do their best.
To make new friends and mates
To have fun !
Cheers John
