The organization is comprised of 150 members. Membership lasts for one year, commencing in November of the corresponding year. Membership gives you access to the clubhouse, a discount on rally fees, and most of all a say in the operations and events of the association. The initial cost is $15 but renewal is only $10.

Membership also means that you are automatically a member of : The ATV Association of Nova Scotia (ATVANS). ATVANS is much like SANS (The Snowmobile Association of Nova Scotia) but instead of representing snowmobiles, it represents All Terrain Vehicles (four wheelers, Argos and three wheelers). ATVANS consists of 14 clubs and organizations, The St. Margarets association being one of them. ATVANS is the governing body of these sub-organizations, and sets standards and rules that must be followed by the clubs and organizations.
