Five Winds School of Tai Chi Chuan
(Glasgow)
The Five Winds School of Tai Chi Chuan practises Wudang style tai chi, and provides a fully integrated martial art training, including Hand Form, Weapons Forms (Straight Sword, Sabre &  Spear), Push Hands, Application, and Nei kung.

The Principal Instructor is Sifu Ian Cameron, student of Cheng Tin Hung, now teaching in Edinburgh, and with several classes in Scotland taught by senior students.

The class in Glasgow's west end was instigated by Sifu Cameron around 1985, and is now taught by Stephen Douglas.

Stephen Douglas has been practising tai chi since 1985,  has been a qualified instructor in Five Winds School since 1993, and Senior Instructor since 2007.

He was Silver medalist in both the Advanced Spear and Advanced Sabre forms in the TCFE European Championships held in Denmark in October 2002

He was a member of the group appearing in the BBC television ident, the short trailer films which were used to advertise BBC 1 from 2002 -2006.

Classes are held every Thursday evening in Maryhill Community Central Halls, 304 Maryhill Road, Glasgow. Further training is available  for advanced students.
