USB Memory Watch

I miss having a watch, and in around two months time, a year would have passed since I threw my old wrist watch at the wall, in a sudden fit of rage, smashing it into pieces. Since hardly anyone messages me anymore, the mobile phone's built-in clock transformed the primary function of a phone into a time piece.

After seeing this watch, I want to own a wrist watch again. It's nice, sporty, and geeky all at the same time. The watch is a USB storage card, offering 128 or 256 MB. Simply plug it into a USB port and you can copy , save and transport all your important files with you. I could practically store my whole website on this thing without breaking a sweat, leaving space for atleast 3 hours of music files.

Nowadays, who needs floppy disks. USB memory keys are quite small hence would be easy to misplace or get stolen. This is one gadget on here that I'd love to have.

Anybody want to buy me one?

Features:

-- sleek design, very lightweight (43 grams)

    -- 128 MB. 256 MB

    -- Shock proof and anti-static

-- Water resistant (of course, you have to let the USB connector dry first before using)

USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive

Backing up data from a 20 GB hard drive to CD-RW, is a long and tiresome process, one that you'd rarely have the patience to do. Insert disc, write, check contents, then repeat on 10+ more CDs. It is a true test of patience.

With this Portable Hard Drive, you could back-up your data faster and more conveniently, and easily transfer it to a new system or just keep it safe, keep it hidden, and with 60 GB of space, you won't have anymore problems with your audio and video collection.

Features:

    -- USB 2.0 (480 Mbps transfer rate)

    -- stackable

    -- 5" x 3" x 5"

Duct Tape Wallet

Having never used a wallet in my life, I think it's time that I should have one. But then again, it will only be a place to store wallet-sized pictures, calling cards, membership cards, etc. neglecting the primary purpose of a wallet to store money or atleast countless credit cards that you will never use, two things I have none as of the moment.

I just find this wallet, which is made of a special type of duct tape, fashionable and totally cool. And they don't smell.

Dimensions: Folded, 4.25" x 3.75"

Forever Flashlight

Ever experienced power interruptions, which in the Philippines is as common as going to McDonald's to have breakfast, when you grab your so called "trusty" flashlight, only to find out that the batteries are dead or the bulb is busted. Pretty annoying and scary right, especially since the power was cut right in the middle of The Ring. You are now left all alone in the dark. And no, the lights didn't come back on. It's just Sadako manipulating your television sets.

But that won't happen if you have the Forever Flashlight in your hands. This light uses physics, specifically, Faraday's Principle of Induction, and a LED (light emitting diode) to produce light without batteries. You just shake it for a few minutes and your ready to go.  Light reaches a mile and it floats in water. Cool.

Sadly, it won't save you from the curse.

X5 LED Flashlight

If the Forever Flashlight lasts forever, this one is practically indestructible. In the event a burglar enters your house at night, you could beat the bloody bastard to submission (death?) with this flashlight. Well, at 4.75" you can't exactly beat someone to death, but you could still bash it on his head. The LED comes in two colors, white and blue and is good up to 120 feet. If that ain't cool, I don't know what is.

Midnight Blue 'geek' Glass

Sure, it's just a glass with 'geek.' written. But it's just looks cool.

Won't really make you a 'geek' though, if you are not one.

Smart Mass Thinking Putty

You know what a stress ball is, right? Those nice soft balls you squeeze in order to relieve stress. No! Not those balls that come in pairs, you green-minded twerp! Anyway, I have one of those, but it gets dirty and then starts to reek some odd odor.

And here comes Smart Mass Thinking Putty, everything you could do with ordinary putty and then some. It bounces, stretches, contours, squishes, lifts comics, shears, tears, shatters, and drips from the ceiling. How's that for a load of features. At the same time, relieving some stress, but who cares about that when you have something like this fun to play with.

Infrared Remote Extender

Being the person who loves my music loud and resonating through the whole house, an easier form of changing tracks, CDs, volume, or basically, an easier way of using the trusty remote control from anywhere in the house would be grand. Remote controls use IR (Infrared) to transmit data, but this requires line of sight for operation, to some extent. With radio frequency, you need not depend on direct line of sight, but can use it anywhere. Same concept behind Bluetooth. And with this device, IR signals are converted into radio frequencies, transmitted to a receiver, then converted back to IR, increasing the range of operation and eliminating the need for line of sight operation.

Sure, the device looks awkward, but it is useful. Now if most remote controllers could only use RF signals, life would be much easier.

Audio Tron Internet Music Distribution

With all the MP3s I download over the net, and ripping the CDs I have, it's safe to say that everything I listen to is on my PC. Something not even a 20-disc CD changer can handle. Ever flipped through your CD collection just for one song on this CD and another on that? Nothing short of tiring right?

This device allows one to listen to music on the PC but outputted on your state of the art home sound system, Internet Radio included. It literally turns your PC into a jukebox, minus the coin-popping. Instant access to any some, search through the list in a matter of seconds, make your own playlists, etc.

And home network is needed though, and with the right equipment, you could connect the PC and the Audio Tron wirelessly.

First saw this on Fresh Gear, over at Tech TV. For more information, visit Smarthome.
