First Aid in Schools - 6 Hours | |||||||||||||||||||||
This course is ideal for Teachers and Support Staff in the school environment. This course includes how to deal with children above the age of 1 year, in the event of choking, becoming unconscious or requiring resuscitation. This course can be undertaken on a stand-alone basis, or as an additional qualification to the four-day First Aid at Work course, as children are not usually covered during this course. The qualified First Aider(s) will benefit from the support provided by this person, or from the additional training. Certificates are vaild for three years. |

The course covers the following subjects: Incident Management including first aid kits and incident reports Control of Bleeding Burns and Scalds Shock Choking; Child and Adult Poisons, Bites, Stings, Alcohol and Solvent Abuse Treatment of the Unconscious Casualty; Child and Adult Resuscitation; Child and Adult Delegates may also ask to cover any specific conditions or injuries they think may be relevant to their environment |
