Medical Gases (Oxygen and Nitrous Oxide) - 4 Hours

This course is ideal for those employers who would like to further enhance the health and safety of the workplace and the skills of their First Aider,  health care workers  or those who are involved with an organised First Aid scheme. This course provides the necessary knowledge and skills to enable the safe administration of oxygen and nitrous oxide (entonox) by First Aiders.  All delegates should be able to show evidence of first aid training undertaken (First Aid at Work or equivalent standard).  Certificates are valid for 2 years.

The course covers the following subjects: Basic Life Support & Basic Airway Management Equipment Checks and Assembly Oxygen and Nitrous Oxide Administration Procedures and Delivery Systems Hazards, Precautions and Contra-indications Using Manual Aspirators

Assessment of the course is on a continuous basis, by the Trainer.
