Who is Jesus? The Son of God, sent to pay for the sin of man so that we might be saved. Jn. 3:16

Why must I be saved? God is real. Heaven is real. The Bible is the Word of God and tells us that all that have not received Jesus as their Savior will spend eternity in Hell..seperated from God. Lk. 16:23-26: Jn. 3;18

We are all sinners, myself, the Pope, your pastor, everyone. Sin is missing the mark of God's perfection. Even "good people" miss the mark. No one can be as perfect as God. James 2:10

The payment for sin is death, that is, eternity separated from God. Rom. 6:23 . Works, prayer, money, penance, church membership cannot pay for sin. God loves us, (sinners) but hates our sin. He hates the sin because it separates us from Him. Isa. 59:2.

God created Heaven, so He has the right to say who can enter it. God lives there. It is a perfect place. Rev. 21:4. If sin were allowed to enter, Heaven would no longer be perfect.

We need to have our sin paid for in order to enter heaven. Nothing we can do can make that payment. Eph. 2:8, 9. Christ made that payment (death on the cross) for us. Jesus took our sin upon himself and suffered our payment (death) so that we could enter Heaven. 2Cor.5:21. When we accept Jesus as our savior, (BELEIVE) we accept His payment for our sin (RECEIVE), and we are saved. God gives eternal life only to those who will accept it by faith alone. Jn. 3:16.

Once you accept Jesus as your savior, you have eternal life, that is, a place in Heaven with God. Because this new life is eternal, it can never be lost. 1Jn.5:13.
