It is the 2nd largest slum in Africa. Hear about a small businessman making jewelry from discarded animal bones. See and buy the jewelry after the talk. - Jigya Learn about 2 groups of people with disabilities, one in Mali and the other in NY. They are working together for the benefit of both. - Life in Mali, Africa What is it like to live and work in Mali? - Extreme Poverty Why is it that life began in Africa, yet it is the poorest continent on earth? Just what is poverty like in Mali?  See life from inside Kibera, Africa’s largest slum. - Elephants on an Eco-tourism Safari Learn how elephant families are so like human families. Become aware of  threats to their existence. Understand why monkeys are not my favorite animals. - Project Management Based on a series of interviews with Directors of agencies such as CARE, Save the Children, US Agency for International Development (USAID), United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and the World Bank, learn how to successfully manage projects in Africa. Presentations are available in 30 or 60 minute formats as well as ˝ day workshops. They include talking, photos, recorded music, and movie clips.
