They are the most complete team and they have a favorable schedule, with the real tough games backloaded.

They lost some on defense, but that’s about it.

You’re the defending champs until proven otherwise.
4. GEORGIA
I would rank them third, but they must beat LSU first, something they’ve failed to do.
5. USC
I think they are real good, but the o-line scares me off.
6. FLORIDA ST
Same old, same old.
7. MIAMI
The annual tilt with FSU means more than ever, but they need to break in too many players.
8. TEXAS
Beat Oklahoma or shut up.
9. FLORIDA
A team lying in wait, a real dark horse for the national title.
10. KANSAS ST
Sproles for Heisman.
11. PURDUE
This is the best team Tiller has ever had.
12. TENNESSEE
The third SEC East team in the poll, they could win the conference.
13. WISCONSIN
Another terrific sleeper team.
14. UTAH

15. MARYLAND
Write them off at your own peril.
16. NEBRASKA
Already a stout defense.
17. OHIO ST
The lack of an offense really catches up to them.
18. WEST VIRGINIA
They’re gonna win a lot, so let’s start them low.

Find them on TV and watch them play. The offense is awesome.
20. AUBURN
I’m picking them behind Bama, but right now, Auburn is better.
21. MISSOURI
I’m not sold yet.
