TED WAITT

Gateway president & CEO.

One of those bald guys with a long ponytail.

"Ted Waitt is a Turd! Owner of Gateway. He laid so many people off it wasn't funny... and that was just because he felt like it. (and he screwed up and spent too much on other crap for the company and didn't realize they were going broke) So to make up the difference he laid off almost 400 people on a whim. (including me)"

Some stupid asshole who didn't read above where it says "THE VOTER WROTE" didn't understand that those WERE NOT my comments, attacked me with this rambling e-mail defending Ted:

I don't know your name but I saw your site. I saw Ted Waitt listed on your Zero's list. I want you to know what you said is complete bull shit and maybe you should look into the facts a little more. I just met Ted yesterday and he's actually a very nice guy. Thats besid ethe point. If you've even done research on why Ted laid off the people he had to lay off you would understand. When Jeff was CEO he was doing things that Ted really had no Idea what was going on. He was starting to lay off people left and right. Ted came back as a result of the stock fall and the laying off of many people. He tried to bring the people back. But when Gateway, along with all other technology stocks continued to loose money, he had no choice. I think you better look at the facts before you spout off.

Sounds to me like the new mailroom boy at Gateway is kissing some serious ass!

While I don't think Ted Waitt is an "asshole", I think he needs to have more hands on experience of how his company is run. Here in the Springs his company discriminates against people on the basis of handicaps and generally is not very helpful to those employed by them who have health issues and need some minor accomidations made. This comes from personal experience, so any one who wants to dispute this will have to hear my personal story and come up with some good answers as to why this is not true. Ted is not the problem ... his corporation is. Gateway, Inc. is my vote for ZERO of the new millenium.
