Part 4

A Step by Step Painting.

Step 20
Her hair is pretty much finished and I have added some costume details. I use a sable brush and somewhat thinner paint for adding the intricacies of the hair.

To add a bit more sparkle to the costume, I am adding some bits of glass beads that I have crushed up a bit. I set this right into the acrylic paint before it dries, which will hold it firmly in place after it does dry. Is this cheating? Not to me it ain't...I love collage effects!

Here is the upper part of the figure, mostly done. I have left the rendering on her legs loosely done because much of that will get somewhat covered up by the veils.

Using washes of pale white with a touch of yellow for warmth, I finish off the veils.

A bit more rendering with the palette knife for the ground...and after a few finishing touches...voila!
