FANTASY ILLUSTRATION

Just as you might guess, fantasy-inspired work.

Faerie Initially, this was done as a wash life drawing. Click here to see the original drawing. I finished this digitally, adding the color and other elements in photoshop. 8 1/2"x11" prints are available. The original wash drawing is 14"x17" and is available.

Languid Maiden This painting also started out as a b&w ink wash figure drawing on paper. I then colored that drawing digitally. The background circle was painted on paper and then digitally composited with the figure. Finally, I added the flowers as digital collage elements (they're real flowers!). This will be available as a digital print at DragonCon 2002. .

Elfwings Originally a black and white, ink wash figure drawing on paper, I added the color and the rest of the finishes digitally. This will be available at DragonCon 2002 as a digital print. The original wash drawing is 14"x17" and is available.

Garden Elf Watercolor, gouache and acrylics, unpublished. Original art has been sold. This piece started as a demo in the Color Illustration course I teach at the Joe Kubert School. .

Bat Lady Gouache on illustration board, unpublished. Original art has been sold. This was a rejected layout for the Lady Death series of trading cards that I painted. It is obviously not finished as Lady Death! .

Pallas Athena Watercolor and gouache on illustration board, unpublished. Original art is available. This was originally inspired by the Rembrandt painting of the same name. .

Blue Magic Ink and watercolor on illustration board. Digitally repainted, unpublished. The original was painted while I was a student at the Joe Kubert School. .

Barbarian Babe Brush and ink on bristol board. Original art has been sold. This is the drawing that convinced Sal Quartuccio to offer me work. .
