For the past fourteen years, Stebner Club Lambs has been breeding club lambs in the Northern region of San Diego County, and since we started, we have continually been striving for success.  Due to a dog attack and the near loss of the previous flock, we have been working on the current flock for the past three years...and each year they keep getting better.  We feel we offer complete sheep that combine the thickness, muscle mass, and eye appeal to compete in the showring, but also place an emphasis on structurally correct, functional sheep that will perform for the exhibitor at home.
Our flock now consists mainly of Bradley and Brian Johnson ewes sired by Boss. We feel by having a strong ewe base that is not only phenotypically strong, but also genotypically sound, that we can have a flock that is consistent in producing winners. We believe the ewe base is the key to any flock, but it is essential to have Rams that are powerful and consistent enough to get the job done.  We  found the ram that has gotten the job done. Magnum, our feature ram, will be heavily used this year and we expect his lambs to hit the ground, like always, as champions in the making. A new stepping stone to our program, we also believe we have found our future in our new Edge son.  He is an ultra complete and modern ram.
Since my internship with Ted Greiner (Greiner Club Lambs), we have now started to add ewes and rams from his flock...genetics that outcross tremendously with Johnson genetics. By using great rams on a uniform ewe flock, we believe our lambs will definately have the thickness, power, and eye appeal to perform for you.   We try to keep our quality high, and our ewe base at 10. As you can see, the majority of our lambs get the job done, and we feel that by selecting only the best for our ewe flock, and focusing on quality, not size, that we in turn, can offer you the very best, which every showman deserves.
In addition to breeding and finding lambs, Stebner Club Lambs is here to help the exhibitor, not only our customers. I ran across a quote from Ralph Waldo Emmerson, that says "Success is to know that one person has breathed easier because you have lived."  We feel that if we could have success, that it could be in this way, either in or out of the show ring. Through our years, we have been taught and helped by many wonderful people, and we wish to pass our experience on to others who are starting out to help make their dreams a reality.
I would also like to express my appreciation and thanks to Ted Greiner of Greiner Club Lambs of Keota, Iowa for all his help, time, and ecouragement since my internship in the spring of 2003.
