STATE OF INDIA
Welcome to the state of India. We
are in the process of putting together a website which aims at critically
examining the Indian society and Indian people through the eyes of some of their
very own. Most Indians would agree that the state of affairs of their country
could be improved. Most Indians would also agree that they don't have the time
or the means to vocalize their thoughts. That is hardly surprising as an average
Indian just doesn't have the time. But there comes a time in the life of every
Indian when he or she longs to have a say.
We, the builders of
this site have arrived at such a juncture in our life. After a lifetime of
observing the Indian people, culture, attitudes, the politics and the land
itself, we have come to some understanding about the state of affairs. On this
website we will publish our writings and observations. We are not sure about the
schedule yet, but will be posting our writings on topics ranging from the caste
system and academic reservation to current politics and social attitudes. You
the audience are encouraged to provide us with your fair criticisms and views.
We are sure that you will have interesting personal experiences and observations
too. If deemed fitting we will post your criticisms and experiences on the site.
You are also encouraged to let us know what you think about the website and the
directions it should take. As this is a site in progress you will be able to
control its destiny to some extent.
