Weezer - PinkertonHere's a weird story about me and Weezer. In my sophomore year of high school, I just happened to dig out my copy of the Blue Album, and listening to that, I decided that I liked it. I had had it for a while, but that was just how I did things back then. Umm, yeah so I started listening to it for a short time. Then I put it away for a while. I didn't really put it away, I merely put it back in my cd case, but that's not important. So right after my junior year of school ended, I was cleaning out the old Escort, and I was really gettin' into it. I mean I took the seats out and everything. It took me probably a week or so, and I was working forever each day. Anyway, so I was listening to music whilst I worked, and I happened to put in the Blue Album again. I listened to it a lot, and I decided that I really liked it a whole lot. So I went to the mall that day and bought Pinkerton, and listened to it. It took a few days, but soon I LOVED this album too. Then, later that week, I bought the Green Album. So basically, what I'm saying is that if I like a band, I'll buy all their albums. Let the record also state that I had all the albums before Lance McGee, a.k.a. "Mr. Weezer," that's what he always tries to get me to call him at least. So what does that mean? I"m really cool. Okay, I really like this because Rivers Cuomo is an excellent guitarist, and he shows it. This album is probably the sole reason any of the "emo" bands are popular right now. So that's cool because I like them.

Here's some more crap: I f'ing love this album. I realized that I liked it this much just today (Jan. 15, 2003). Things I like a lot: lyrics. Rivers really tells a lot in the lyrics. And he says things that would normally sound just stupid, but coming from him, and the way he words them, makes for a good song. The music: the impeccable melodies are lost in the mass of distortion, but if you listen to it enough, you'll realize them. And the guitar swells throughout every single song are just great. I really like that. And the massive ammounts of feedback; it's like Pete Townshend, but without the pictures of naked little kids. But yeah, freakin' awesome stuff. That's why I just moved it up to the number 2 spot, up from the number 6 spot. Sorry guys. And I'm talking to the other albums that got bumped down.

Stand out tracks: Tired of Sex, Getchoo, No Other One, Why Bother?, Across the Sea, The Good Life, El Scorcho, Pink Triangle, Falling For You, Butterfly.

Yeah, if you don't own this album, go buy it. I guess that's all.
