What is This Place?

Dreams, Visions & Mystery is a not-for-profit site designed to help keep a sense of wonder in people's lives and provide more outlets for certain forms of creativity.

This site, and all the material presented herein, is designed and maintained by Nevin Flanagan (right) with some help from others, including Chris Hazelton and Crane Laws. Nevin graduated with a degree in Digital Media Production from Ithaca College, where he spent far too much time with the Anime Society of Ithaca College, spending one semester as interim vice-president. He role-plays extensively, both with other people and computers, listens to a ton of music, and reads WAY too many comics in Japanese.

Where Else is Cool?

Orleans' Keep is a fan site maintained by a friend of mine, Crane Laws, who helped design some of the material for DV&M. It's got good material on some of Terry Pratchett's lesser-known work.

Chris' Animetion Art Bin is dedicated to the artwork of Chris Hazelton, another person who designed some of the content for this site. Chris also authors the web comic Building 12: It Ended in a Bloodbath from Hell.

The Anime Web Turnpike rules! (It is also valuable if you're looking for information on a series, or looking for new series because you're getting bored.)

What's Happened to DV&M?

Dreams, Visions & Mystery was founded in 1997, and has a considerable history of news and updates, listed hereafter from newest to oldest:

A New Look!

I got excited about Cascading Style Sheets and decided to renovate the page while I retooled. I've also restructured a little to make the site more interesting and accessible.

Mirror Site Re-ditched!

Since evidently my work isn't open to legalized theft on Geocities, I'm not going to maintain the Crosswinds site anymore. This site just doesn't generate enough traffic for me to go through the hassle of maintaining a mirror site.

Home from the Front!

I got back from Japan on July 27, and will try to spend some more time updating this site, especially the roleplaying section.

Mirror Site Re-opened!

The recent Geocities copyright scare prompted me to reopen my Crosswinds site, but having received some assurance from Yahoo that they are not planning to sell my work, I will trust them for the moment. Since Geocities' subdirectories allow me to manage the two sites together more easily than before, I will keep the Crosswinds site open and re-establish the links to it on this page.

Finally!

For you role-players out there, my conversion of Final Fantasy Tactics to AD&D is finally available. There is also some new material in the role-playing ideas section.

Sayonara Yuuki-san!

The link to Yuuki's Palace has been ditched in final admission that that page is down until sometime forever. If she ever tells me about anything else she's put up, I'll ask to link to it. Meanwhile, please enjoy the Squaresoft Original Artwork Page (SOAP) by Amber.

Safe and Sound!

Well, I've been here in Imabari a while, and thanks to Magical Site Internet Service DOKIDOKI (I'm not making that up!) I'm still online! I don't have scanner access right now, so don't expect too much artwork for a while, but I'll continue updating the role-playing section as I get material.

Leaving Town!

I'm leaving for Imabari, in Japan, day after tomorrow (10/13/98), and can't guarantee what my 'web access will be there. I will try to get service but can't make promises. So be forewarned; this site may not be updated for a while. Wish me luck everybody!

New Site on Geocities!

I have a new site in Geocities' Hollywood neighborhood. This site will be used for things like clips of my animations, as well as my resume and other information about my prospective entry into the "real world." The site is still small but should be visited soon, as I will be expanding it as I get material.

Mirror Site No Longer Supported.

The Crosswinds site just hasn't been getting any traffic, and maintaining two copies of one site is a pain, especially when some features aren't identical. The Crosswinds mirror of this page will no longer be updated, and will only be available from the top level of this site. On that site, clicking the 'Mirror' button will take you to the matching section of this site.
