Sidewalk Astronomers

Welcome to the Fort Worth Sidewalk Astronomers Website.  We are a group of people in the Fort Worth area that take our telescopes out to the sidewalks to show people the wonders of the sky.

For millennia, humans have gazed in wonder at the heavens.  Today, thanks to pioneers like John Dobson, we can build telescopes and use them to see the elusive objects that hide in the depths of the night.  We venture 250,000 miles away to visit craters on the moon.  We travel across the solar system to visit the "king of worlds", Jupiter.  We marvel at the "Lord of the Rings", Saturn.  We even use solar filters to see sunspots on our closest star, the Sun. 

So whenever you see us, please come take a look.  You are sure to be amazed!
