SUNY CENTRAL - LEAGUE ID #168887 OFFICIAL RULES 2005 Season Cost
It costs $50 to join SUNY Central. Each team owner will be assigned a funds account that will carry a running balance. If the account has a positive balance, the owner may request a payment from the Commissioner at anytime. Owners may carry a negative balance if desired, but accounts will not be allowed to go beyond - $100.00. If a balance drops below this mark, a payment will be requested by the Commissioner. The Commissioner reserves the right to call in all owed funds at such time that they are needed to pay those owed. We're playing under the honor system! Winnings Winnings are based on an 8 team league.
Keeper Rules SUNY Central is a 4 player keeper league. Prior to the start of each season, each team owner has the option to designate 4 players from the previous year’s team who will return for the upcoming year. Returning players must be identified by the deadline, which will be set during the setup of each year’s league. During the draft, each owner must draft their 4 players in the first 4 rounds. If a designated keeper is not chosen during the first 4 rounds, he becomes available for all owners, starting in round 5. Please note that you do not have to designate any keepers. The Draft SUNY Central is a live draft league. The draft time will be set based on the best slots available. If necessary, the draft time may be changed to accomodate the maximum number of owners. It is highly recommended that all players do whatever possible to make it to each year's live draft. In addition, it is very important that players are pre-ranked prior to the draft. To avoid accidentally drafting another owner's keeper, it is recommended that you not rank another keeper in your top 32 pre-rankings (18 teams X 4 Keepers = 32 Rounds). If a keeper is drafted by an ineligible owner, a "trade" will be mandated following the draft. The rightful owner of the player will be allowed to designate one player from his/her roster to swap with the ineligible owner for the keeper. Disputes Most disputes (if there are any) will be resolved through a majority decision, either by a vote or consensus opinion. The Commissioner does reserve the right, however, to make decisions which he/she feels are in the best interest of the league. Suggestions or Comments Please contact the Commissioner if there are things which have been missed in the rules, or if you think something doesn’t make sense. I hope this doesn’t sound too official, I just don’t want to mess up anything since we are dealing with real money!
