Version 1.0: Just finished making the walkthrough for the game,
and submitted it to GameFAQS (10/30/07)

B: |The Story Of Super Mario Land|
-----------------------------
This is the story according to http://www.wikipedia.org:
"The story of Super Mario Land is set in the peaceful realm of
Sarasaland, which is split into the four kingdoms of Birabuto,
Muda, Easton and Chai. One day, a mysterious alien named
Tatanga appears and hypnotizes the inhabitants of Sarasaland.
He kidnaps Princess Daisy in order to marry her. Mario then
sets out to rescue her from Tatanga, traveling through the four
geographical areas of Sarasaland defeating his minions along
the way, as well as finding monsters that pretend to be Daisy
in order to fool Mario. He finally corners Tatanga in the skies
of the Chai Kingdom, bringing down his alien warship and
rescuing Daisy."

C: |What Is Super Mario Land|
------------------------
Several times throughout the walkthrough I will probably repeat
myself. A few times would possibly be necessary, such as a Boss
guide, as well as a few other things. Sometimes I do this without
even realizing it, and sometimes I do it to make it easier for
people to find what they are looking for on this walkthrough. This
guide, like others, is described on how I played/beat the game.
You have your methods as do I. This is just my way of doing it. I
hope this helps out in anyways possible.

E: |Control Configuration|
---------------------
I assume you have a basic idea of all the control combinations, so
here is the basic stuff:
CONTROLS FOR LEVELS:
LEFT D-PAD: Moves left
RIGHT D-PAD: Moves right
UP D-PAD & 'A' BUTTON: Jump higher
DOWN D-PAD: Crouches down/enters pipes
'A' BUTTON: Jumps
'B' BUTTON: Runs/Shoots fireballs (as Fire Mario)
START BUTTON: Pauses the game
SELECT BUTTON: Does nothing
CONTROL FOR USING SUB/AIRPLANE:
D-PAD: Moves up, down, left & right
'B' BUTTON: Shoots lasers
'A' BUTTON: Does nothing
START BUTTON: Pauses the game
SELECT BUTTON: Does nothing
PLAYER'S NOTE:
1. When you're Fire Mario, you'll have a new fireball that
bounces off stuff. You can't shoot another fireball until
the current one is off the screen or fades away. You can
also collect coins with these new fireballs.
2. When playing in World 2-3 and World 4-3, you will not
gain the ability of Fire Mario. You can get Mushrooms to
become Super Mario, however you will still be able to get
Mushrooms even after you become Super Mario. When you do,
you'll only get the 1,000 Points from them and that's it.
----------
F: |Bonus Game|
----------
At the end of each level you have a chance to play a bonus game.
In order to play the game, you must go to the Bonus Door which is
the top door at the end of most levels, or by beating World 1-3,
World 2-3, World 3-3 & World 4-3. In this game, you have a chance
to get a 1-UP, 2-UP, 3-UP or even a Fire Flower. What's shown here
is an example of how it's set up. Where all the items appear each
time is completely random. What will
happen is that Mario and a ladder will ========================
move up and down between the floors. | M 1 |
When you press the 'A' BUTTON, Mario ========================
and the ladder will stop, and Mario | 2 |
will walk to whatever item he's lined ========================
up with. If Mario comes across the | |-| 3 |
ladder first, he will climb up or down ========================
it and take the item on the upper or | F |
lower level. In this case, Mario would ========================
get a 1-UP, if the game was setup like
this. Also note that if you're already Fire Mario and you get a
Fire Flower, nothing will happen (even though you will get what
sounds like a negative sound). You will still stay as Fire Mario.

SECTION 2: |WALKTHROUGH|
-----------
----------------------
A: |Before The Walkthrough|
----------------------
1. Each level, except for the first one, will be played with
the assumption that you are Fire Mario. This will not be an
easy trek.
2. For every 100,000 Points, you will be able to get a
continue. The highest possible score is 999,990, so you can get
up to 9 continues (although playing the game straight through,
you will probably be lucky enough to accumulate 4 continues).
3. Once you enter a pipe leading to a Bonus Room, complete that
and go through the pipe to get back above ground. When you are
above ground, you will be at the same pipe you entered. You CAN
NOT re-enter the same pipe unless you have to start over again
after losing a life.
--------------------------
B: |World 1 - Birabuto Kingdom|
--------------------------
W O R L D 1 - 1 / T I M E L I M I T : 4 0 0
Here we go, the first level! From where you start off, the '?'
Block above you is a Coin, and you can't enter the pipe. So
head right until you reach the next '?' Block, which has a
MUSHROOM in it (watch out for the Goomba). After that, continue
going right, past the small wall of block (a Coin is in the
'?' Block). Past that is a pipe which you can enter taking you
to BONUS ROOM #1.
BONUS ROOM #1
In here will be 18 Coins which is easy to get. Get all of
them and then enter the pipe and you'll be back above
ground.
Once back above ground, head right and soon you will see
another Goomba. Jump to the upper level and keep going to see
two more Goombas. After that, jump on the pipe and then on the
row of blocks, then fall off the right side and go under the
row of blocks. Jump on the '?' Block, and then jump up hitting
the right block (from the row of blocks) to reveal a 1-UP
HEART. Now jump over the pit and hit the '?' Block above the
three blocks to reveal a FIRE FLOWER. After that, continue
going right, past the pipe and Koopa Troopa and you will see
several '?' Blocks. Coins are in them, so go past that to the
pipe and you can enter it, taking you to BONUS ROOM #2.
BONUS ROOM #2
In here will be 22 Coins, so just run back and forth
collecting them. Once at the top, enter the pipe, which will
take you back above ground.
Once back above ground, continue going right (nothing in the
'?' Blocks) and you will see a Hopping Fly, so take that out.
Just past, go to the next '?' Block and hit it to reveal a
STARMAN. Now, grab that and race right taking out all the
enemies and collecting the coins in the '?' Blocks. Along the
way you will see a row of three blocks. Hit the last one for
Multi-Coins. After that go right a bit more and climb up the
staircase (using the fireballs to collect Coins inside the
small gaps). On the otherside of the staircase, go right a bit
more and use the moving platforms to get to the Bonus Door.
Other than that, go through either door and you will have
completed this level!
------------------------------------------------------------------
W O R L D 1 - 2 / T I M E L I M I T : 4 0 0
For this level, it's similar to a treetop level in the original
Super Mario Brothers. So with that, head right climbing up the
two treetops in front of you and in the '?' Block is a FIRE
FLOWER. After that, continue onwards and you will see a Goomba
and some Flying Archers. Keep going and you will see some Koopa
Troopas (nothing in the '?' Block), so take them out and
continue onwards and then you will see a row of blocks and one
on a lower platform. Nothing in these blocks (except Coins in
the '?' Blocks), so just get them and continue onwards. Now you
will see a couple platform lifts, so be careful crossing over
them and land onto the small platform after that. After that,
continue going right and you will see several more Flying
Archers and a couple Coins.
Go past that and you will see a small pyramid of blocks with a
couple Goombas on it and a '?' Block (which has a FIRE FLOWER
in it). On the otherside of that is some more platform lifts,
so carefully make your way across those and onto the treetop
platform. Once there, a Flying Archer will come to greet you
(avoid this) as well as a Koopa Troopa. Climb up the platforms
to the row of blocks. Hit the middle block for a 1-UP HEART
(nothing else but Coins here), and continue to the next moving
platform. After that you will eventually see some more Flying
Archers come out. Get around these, and head along the treetop
platforms. After that will be a platform lift, so use this and
make your way across the platform drops to get to the Bonus
Door. Other than that, go through either door and you will have
completed this level!
------------------------------------------------------------------
W O R L D 1 - 3 / T I M E L I M I T : 4 0 0
Okay, now it's the first castle dungeon type level! As you
start off, well, there is two ways to do this: the easy way or
the hard way. Actually both ways aren't too tough, but to avoid
enemies, this is what you can do. See the left wall, go to it
and jump up alongside it to reveal a special Lift Block, then
get on it and it will carry you onto the roof. When you get up
there, travel right collect all the Coins up here (see how easy
that was)!. Worried about missing anything below, don't worry,
there's nothing down there but Pirahna Plants. Once at the edge
of the roof, drop down and land on the pipe directly below the
edge and enter it, taking you to BONUS ROOM #1.
BONUS ROOM #1:
In here is 18 Coins and several blocks. Aside from
collecting all the visible Coins, hit the second block from
the right on the bottom row for Multi-Coins, and the second
block from the left on the middle row for a FIRE FLOWER
(nothing in the top row). After collecting all of the
goodies, head through the pipe to go back above ground.
Now that you're back above ground, head right, jumping over the
pit and continuing onwards. This next obsticle involves you
going from pipe to pipe avoiding the Pirahna Plants. After
that, you will see a row of blocks, which if you go up to them,
Ceiling Droppers will come down. Nothing in the blocks, so
continue onwards to the next part which is like this. This time
(watch out for the Guardian) hit the right block between the
two '?' Blocks (if you're still Super or Fire Mario), and then
jump up again to reveal a Lift Block. Get on the Lift Block to
head onto the ceiling. Once there, head right to the pipe and
enter it, which it will take you to BONUS ROOM #2.
BONUS ROOM #2:
For this room, there is 33 Coins scattered through and
several blocks. First get the lower Coins, then hit the
blocks (except for the blocks next to the right column) to
get more Coins. Now work on smashing out the blocks in the
right column with the help of the block next to it. Run jump
to take out the higher ones and soon you'll get a 1-UP
HEART. Now collect the remaining Coins and enter the pipe
which will take you back above ground.
Once back above ground, drop down and head right a bit. You
should see blocks, a Koopa Troopa and some Coins. If you're
Super or Fire Mario, hit the blocks and let the Koopa Troopa
hit you. Now as Small Mario, head to the lower small gap and
run through it. You will now be able to get tons of Coins
(watch out for the Ceiling Droppers), as well as a MUSHROOM.
Smash the blocks and head right and you'll find two rows of
blocks. Smash them all out to find a FIRE FLOWER (don't worry,
you'll find it), then after that continue going right. More
Guardians will be in the way, so get ready to take them out.
After all that, get ready for your first boss fight!
BOSS #1: GIANT SPHINX
For this fight, you will be presented with a Giant Sphinx
monster, that spits fireballs. So how do you beat it, stand
from a distance and shoot at, while dodging it's fireballs.
You'll have the advantage of fireballs bouncing off walls,
so keep that in mind. Five times with your fireballs will
also take it out. Now if you happen to get hit, RUN all the
way to the button and jump on it. Use whatever strategy you
want to take this one out.
After the fight, the monster will be gone, and door will open
taking you to Daisy, or so you thought. It's really a monster
in disguise! Think of this as a "Thank you Mario, but our
Princess is in another castle" bit, but with a twist. After
that, you will be taken to the Bonus Game, thus completing this
level.
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------
C: |World 2 - Muda Kingdom|
----------------------
W O R L D 2 - 1 / T I M E L I M I T : 4 0 0
Okay, here we go with another treetop type platform (looks more
futuristic). From the start, head right to the '?' Blocks, and
past that will be Jumping Fishes. Now past the second one on
the small platform, jump up to reveal a hidden FIRE FLOWER.
After that, continue going right across more treetop platforms
and you will see a moving platform. Get on it and then the next
one and jump to where the pipe is, which you can enter taking
you to BONUS ROOM #1.
BONUS ROOM #1:
In here is a total of 80 Coins. If you're Fire or Super
Mario, simply go ontop of the lone block (DO NOT BREAK IT)
and hit the block above it, collecting all of the Coins
except the last two at the far right side closest to the
pipe. Now after that, head down to the lower area and in the
blocks, one will have a FIRE FLOWER. Now jump into the other
batch of Coins, collecting them and hitting the blocks.
After that, go through the pipe which will take you back
above ground.
Once back above ground, head right and in the '?' Block will be
a FIRE FLOWER. Collect the Coins and continue going right where
more Jumping Fishes are as well as a Koopa Troopa is. After all
of this will be more Jumping Fishes, but with Goombas as well
and some '?' Blocks. Hit the right block to reveal a STARMAN,
so get that and race all the way through the Goombas, Jumping
Fishes and Jumping Serpents until you reach the pipe. Enter it
and you will be in BONUS ROOM #2.
BONUS ROOM #2:
In this room is 20 Coins, so get the bottom row, and at the
right wall, jump up to reveal a hidden block. Use that to
get the remaining Coins. Nothing is in the two blocks, so
you can safely go into the pipe after getting all of the
Coins. Once you do that, you will be back above ground.
Once back above ground, head to the '?' Block to get Multi-
Coins, then continue going right, collecting the other Coins.
Soon you will see a few more blocks, which there is a FIRE
FLOWER in the right one. After that, head up the platforms
(watch out for the Goomba) and then onto the long platform
after that. Here there will be Jumping Serpents so get around
that and head to the lower platform past them. You'll see a
platform lift, so use that to get the '?' Block (which has a
1-UP HEART in it) and the Coins. After that, get on the blocks
and jump right to the lower level. You will see a platform
lift, so use that and the platform drops to get to the Bonus
Door. Other than that, go through either door and you will have
completed this level!
------------------------------------------------------------------
W O R L D 2 - 2 / T I M E L I M I T : 4 0 0
For this level, go right from the starting point (watch out for
the Walking Shuttle), until you reach the first '?' Block which
has a FIRE FLOWER in it. After that will be a pipe and some
enemies. Take them out and go into the pipe, which will take
you to BONUS ROOM #1.
BONUS ROOM #1:
In here is a total of 80 Coins. If you're Fire or Super
Mario, simply go ontop of the lone block (DO NOT BREAK IT)
and hit the block above it, collecting all of the Coins
except the last two at the far right side closest to the
pipe. Now after that, head down to the lower area and in the
blocks, one will have Multi-Coins. Now jump into the other
batch of Coins, collecting them and hitting the blocks.
After that, go through the pipe which will take you back
above ground.
Once back above ground, collect the Coins you see, and jump
right to the lone big block and continue onwards a bit. Soon
you will see a moving platform, so get on that and travel to
the next one. After that, you'll see a column of Coins, so jump
over and collect them (watch out for the Koopa Troopa). Now if
you're Small Mario, you can take either the lower path or upper
path. But how do you get to the lower path? Well, see the
blocks sticking out on the right, go to it and drop off the
left side. There will be an invisible platform (O_o), so you
can cross that. Down there will be Coins, Goombas and a FIRE
FLOWER (well MUSHROOM) in the last block.
Taking the upper path, well there is a Walking Shuttles and
Koopa Troopas. Also at the end of the first row of blocks is a
STARMAN, and the second row of blocks will have a FIRE FLOWER.
Get the STARMAN and go right and race your way through as many
enemies as you can. You should be at where there are moving
platforms. Get on them, and just past that is some '?' Blocks
(just Coins) and a Koopa Troopa and a Jumping Serpent. Get past
that and you'll see a couple of Pirahna Plant pipes (and a
Goomba). You can go into the second pipe which will take you to
BONUS ROOM #2.
BONUS ROOM #2:
In this room is 20 Coins, so get the bottom row first and
right underneath the small gap within the blocks from the
upper flooring, jump up to reveal a hidden block. Use that
to get the remaining Coins. There's a Multi-Coin in one of
the two blocks. After getting all of the Coins, head through
the pipe and you will be back above ground.
Once back above ground, simply head right to the other block
platforms and soon you will see a flooring. Go along that and
use the platform drops (this won't be easy) to get onto the
moving platforms and jump to the Bonus Door. Other than that,
go through either door and you will have completed this level!
------------------------------------------------------------------
W O R L D 2 - 3 / T I M E L I M I T : 4 0 0
This next level is a little different. This is a pushover
level. You will be in a small submarine, with the ability to
shoot endlessly. The object for this stage is to carefully make
your way through taking out/avoiding enemies, as well as
collecting whatever you come across. So with that, head right
and to the upper section where there are some blocks, one of
which has a MUSHROOM in it. Continue onwards and you'll come
across Racing Fishes, Jumping Fishes and Swimming Serpents.
Also on the floor is a group of blocks, so shoot at it to
reveal a STARMAN. With that, just keep going right taking out
anything in your way. As soon as it wears off, you will see a
Blooper and some more blocks. Nothing are in these blocks, but
you need to destroy enough so you'll be able to get through.
Many Bloopers reside within these columns of blocks so do be
careful. Once past this, Racing Fishes will come out, so stay
towards the bottom area to avoid them. Swimming Serpents are
also around so try to avoid them as well. Just keep going
right, taking out whatever enemies that are in your way. Soon
you will come across some Coins that will spell out "MARIO", so
collect as many Coins as you can. After that will be another
column of blocks, with more of those following after. For the
first one, take out the top row of the bottom set of blocks to
reveal a 1-UP HEART. After that, smash your way through the
blocks and the last column will have a MUSHROOM in it (top row
of bottom set of blocks). After that, get ready for a boss
fight!
BOSS #2: GIANT SERPENT
The setup will be a giant serpent will go up and down
shooting firebals, as well as a giant fireball bouncing
around. So what should you do. Well to take out the boss,
stay in the bottom left corner and everytime the boss comes
down, just bop up a bit and shoot at it then duck back down.
The giant fireball will also block your way, and might hit
you. If you're Super Mario, you'll have a chance to win even
if you get hit by the giant fireball. After enough hits, the
boss will be defeated. Or you can just shoot out the blocks
and hit the button. Use whatever strategy you want to take
this one out.
After the fight, the monster will be gone, and door will open
taking you to Daisy, or so you thought. It's really a monster
in disguise! Think of this as a "Thank you Mario, but our
Princess is in another castle" bit, but with a twist. After
that, you will be taken to the Bonus Game, thus completing this
level.
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------
D: |World 3 - Easton Kingdom|
------------------------
W O R L D 3 - 1 / T I M E L I M I T : 4 0 0
Here we go, halfway through the game, and it's only gonna get
tougher from here on out! From the starting point, head right
and you will see a Flying Totem, so take that out. After that,
head past the second pipe and you will see a row of blocks
above a platform. Get on that and hit the last one to get a
FIRE FLOWER. After that, continue onwards to the third pipe,
which you can enter taking you to BONUS ROOM #1.
BONUS ROOM #1:
In this room, there is 15 Coins. To get them, simply go to
the right side of this room, and take out one of the blocks,
jump up and get them. There's nothing in the blocks, so
simply make your way up to the pipe and enter it, taking you
back above ground. If you're small, carefully make your way
across the blocks to get the Coins, but be careful of the
spikes.
Once you're back above ground, jump over the gap and head
right, collecting Coins from blocks and taking out enemies. You
should see a '?' Block high up on a platform, which is a Multi-
Coin. After a few steps will be a Flying Totem and a Koopa
Troopa. Just past that is a few platform lifts, so carefully
make your way across those and then onto the pipe. After that,
carefully jump across the pits (and Koopa Troopa) until you
reach the next pipe. This next obsticle will involve Bullet
Bills, but the cannons will come out of pipes shooting them, so
be aware of this. With that get around this and continue on to
see a couple Koopa Troopas and a Running Incan.
Get around these and onto the next set of platforms, where
another Running Incan and a Flying Totem is at. Nothing in the
'?' Block, so continue going right to the next one. From there
head down the stair like structure to the lower platform and
jump up to reveal a hidden 1-UP HEART. After that, keep going
right, past the enemies and you'll see some platform lifts. Get
across them and onto the pipe where the '?' Block is (which has
a FIRE FLOWER in it). After that, simply continue onwards
collecting Coins and taking out enemies (if you want) until you
reach the second pipe in the air with '?' blocks under it. You
can enter that pipe which will take you to BONUS ROOM #2.
BONUS ROOM #2:
In this room, there is 130 Coins here. Simply get all of the
Coins, preferably the ones on top first then the ones on
bottom. There will also be a '?' blocks which has another
Coin in it. Before coming in here, if your Coin amount is
over 70, then you'll get two extra lives in here! After
getting all of the Coins, head through the pipe to go back
above ground.
Once back above ground, collect what Coins you see, then head
right. This next part will be a bit of a challenge. You will
see spikes on the floor, and boulders coming down. Get ontop of
the boulders and ride them to the next safe spot (don't let it
hit you or else you'll get hurt). The next safe spot will have
several Coins, so get them and get on the next boulder.
Continue doing this until you reach the otherside of all these
obsticles, including jumping over a pit. Once you are through
with these obsticles, you should see some familiar land and a
moving platform. Use it and the platform drops to get to the
Bonus Door. Other than that, go through either door and you
will have completed this level!
------------------------------------------------------------------
W O R L D 3 - 2 / T I M E L I M I T : 4 0 0
From the start, head right over the pipes and you'll come
across a Big Spider and a Koopa Troopa (and some blocks). Get
on the blocks, and at the right side of the top row, jump up to
reveal a hidden block. You can now take the the ceiling (which
has 4 Coins) or take the lower path (which has many enemies).
Once past this, head to the row of blocks, which the second
'?' Block has a FIRE FLOWER in it. Get that and head right
taking out the Jumping Spiders and other enemies. You should
now be at another row of blocks. Now if you're Super or Fire
Mario, hit the middle block to take it out, then jump again to
reveal a Lift Block. Make sure the pipe is on view when you get
on it, and when you do, jump to the pipe which you can enter,
taking you to BONUS ROOM #1.
BONUS ROOM #1:
In this room, there is 130 Coins here. Simply get all of the
Coins, preferably the ones on top first then the ones on
bottom. There will also be a '?' blocks which has a FIRE
FLOWER in it. Before coming in here, if your Coin amount is
over 70, then you'll get two extra lives in here! After
getting all of the Coins, head through the pipe to go back
above ground.
Once back above ground, carefully head right, getting past all
the obsticles in your way. Your next landmark will be a small
row of Coins and a '?' Block which has a FIRE FLOWER in it.
Just past that is a Bullet Bill cannon, Big Spider and Koopa
Troopa. Keep going past that until you reach the Jumping
Spider. After that will be an obsticle which will involve
riding on the boulders along the spikes (just like in the last
level). Make it past this and you will be at some pipes (with
some enemies). Go down the first pipe, and that will take you
to BONUS ROOM #2.
BONUS ROOM #2
In this room, there is 15 Coins. To get them, simply go to
the right side of this room, and take out one of the blocks,
jump up and get them. In the lone block is Multi-Coins so
get that and then make your way up to the pipe and enter it,
taking you back above ground. If you're small, carefully
make your way across the blocks to get the Coins, but be
careful of the spikes.
Once back above ground, head right past the next pipe and
across the platform lifts. This next part might be tricky,
because you have to make your way across some platform drops.
After that, continue jumping across the platform drops and you
will eventually go to the Bonus Door (which will not be very
easy to get to). Other than that, go through either door and
you will have completed this level!
------------------------------------------------------------------
W O R L D 3 - 3 / T I M E L I M I T : 4 0 0
Here we go with another dungeon level! From the start, head
right, across the gaps, until you reach the moving platforms.
Make your way past the several moving platforms you come across
and you will be at a pipe (watch out for the boulders). Get
past that and see the pipe in midair with the platform drops
next to it, well get on that and you can enter it taking you
to BONUS ROOM #1.
Once back above ground, head to the lower ground and go right
running to the last ground and jump up to the right. Up here is
a row of blocks Koopa Troopa, but more importantly in the
fourth block from the right is a 1-UP HEART. down below is just
Coins in the '?' Blocks and Jumping Spiders. After that
continue going right, carefully making it across the series of
moving platforms. After that, you will be at a pipe, which you
can enter, taking you to BONUS ROOM #2.
BONUS ROOM #2
In this room, there is 15 Coins. To get them, simply go to
the right side of this room, and take out one of the blocks,
jump up and get them. In the right block is Multi-Coins so
get that and then make your way up to the pipe and enter it,
taking you back above ground. If you're small, carefully
make your way across the blocks to get the Coins, but be
careful of the spikes.
Once back above ground, stand at the right edge of the pipe and
jump up to reveal a hidden block. Use that to get to the
platforms above and cross over them to the otherside. This next
part can be tricky, because you need to use the moving
platforms to get onto the other platforms. After that, you will
need to do it again, so time your moving carefully. After
getting past this obsticle, it should be an easy trek (aside
from the Flying Totems and Running Incans). You will come
across a boulder small row of '?' Blocks, which has a FIRE
FLOWER in the first block. Nothing in the next row of '?'
Blocks, so continue past that and eventually you will come
across a boss fight!
BOSS #3: ROCK THROWER
This boss is fairly easy. The setup for this is the boss
will throw out boulders at you. Despite the layout, all you
have to do is jump across the boulders and onto the platform
above the boss, then jump onto the button to take it out. Or
if you're Fire Mario, do this, and stand behind the boss and
shoot at it for the extra points.
After
that, you will be taken to the Bonus Game, thus completing this
level.

W O R L D 4 - 1 / T I M E L I M I T : 4 0 0
Here we are at the home stretch! For this level, you see the
pipe where you start off at. Well you can go into the pipe
which will take you to BONUS ROOM #1.
BONUS ROOM #1:
In this room, there are 44 Coins, but to get them you have
to press the RIGHT D-PAD the split second you enter here or
else you won't get them. After getting them, make your way
up to the pipe and enter it, taking you back above ground.
Once back above ground, head right to the two blocks, which the
left one has a FIRE FLOWER in it. After that, keep going,
taking out the Pirahna Plants until you reach the moving
platforms (you will encounter a Hopping Sprite and a Pirahna
Plant). Make your way across them and on the otherside, use the
'?' Blocks as a safehaven to get around the Bullet Bills and
Hopping Sprites here. After that, continue going right to the
next set of blocks. Above there is a Multi-Coin in the '?'
Block. Keep going right to find more Hopping Sprites and Koopa
Troopas. After that will be two sets of two '?' Blocks. The
right one of the left set has a FIRE FLOWER in it. After that,
continue on and you will be at a set of several pipes. You
can't enter them, but head to the highest one.
From there, RUN JUMP to the first blocks in the ceiling, to
reveal a STARMAN. Now this will be fun, get the STARMAN and
race as fast as you can right, carefully making it across the
moving platforms. When you do, you will be able to rack up
atleast 30,000 Points. Don't worry about anything you may have
passed up. You should now be at another set of moving
platforms. Cross over these and the platform drops, to the
otherside where you will see several pipes. Past that should be
a '?' Block, which has a FIRE FLOWER in it. After that, jump
over the moving platform and collect the Coins up top. Keep
going and you will be at another set of pipes. go into the
first one, which will take you to BONUS ROOM #2.
BONUS ROOM #2:

up to the pipe and enter it, taking you back above ground.
Once back above ground, head right past the set of pipes, and
keep going (watch out for the Hopping Sprites) to the next set
of pipes. From there, carefully make it to the highest one,
avoiding the Bullet Bills. Once there, jump over to the moving
platform and then onto the row of blocks with gaps. Run across
that and you will be able to get to the Bonus Door. Other than
that, go through either door and you will have completed this
level!
------------------------------------------------------------------
W O R L D 4 - 2 / T I M E L I M I T : 4 0 0
If you're Super or Fire Mario at this moment, good, HANG ON TO
THAT, you'll see why! From the start, head right across the
platforms until you reach two '?' Blocks, which are Coins. Keep
going to the next two '?' Blocks (there is a Walking Lotus and
Koopa Troopa here). In the right block is a FIRE FLOWER, so get
that and carefully continue on. Go to the pipe where the Bullet
Bill Cannon is and enter it taking you to BONUS ROOM #1.
BONUS ROOM #1:
In this room, there is 251 Coins here! If you're Fire Mario,
you can get all of them, though it will take a little time
to do. If you have 49 Coins atleast, you will be able to get
three extra lives here! If you're not, get what you can and
enter through the pipe taking you back above ground.
Once back above ground, head right across the platforms (watch
out for the Giant Snake). Once you do, you can see that the
path will split. If you can though, take out the blocks and go
through the upper path. Do so and in the first '?' Block is a
FIRE FLOWER. After that, this setup will repeat once more, but
nothing in the '?' Blocks. After that you will see a Koopa
Troopa, a Goomba, a Walking Lotus and two '?' Blocks which has
a FIRE FLOWER in the left one. Now it gets tricky. Past that
will be some Roto-Discs, so you need to carefully get around
them. Make your way past through all of this and you will
eventually see a '?' Block, which has a STARMAN in it. Get
that, and carefully race as far as you can. Note that the next
'?' Block you see is a FIRE FLOWER. Now keep going to the first
pipe you see and enter it, taking you to BONUS ROOM #2.
BONUS ROOM #2:

three extra lives here! If you're not, get what you can and
enter through the pipe taking you back above ground.
Once back above ground, head right making your way past any
enemy in your way. After all of this, you should be at a pipe.
Past that, wait for the platform lift and jump on it taking you
to the upper path then onto the platform drop taking you down.
Jump right off of it and you will be at a staircase of platform
drops. Make your way up them and onto the row of blocks with
gaps and you will be able to reach the Bonus Door.
------------------------------------------------------------------
W O R L D 4 - 3 / T I M E L I M I T : 4 0 0
This is it, the final stage, hope you're ready for it, because
here it comes! From the start, head up to the first block for a
MUSHROOM, and continue onwards, avoiding or taking out the
Flying Birds coming your way. Soon you will come to an area
where there are sets of two blocks. Stay towards the top
because the third set will have a MUSHROOM in it. After that
should be some lone blocks, so stay at the top because the
first one has a 1-UP HEART in it. After that, avoid the
Sparkballs and head through two more lone blocks, which the
last one has a STARMAN in it. With that, just take out whatever
you want and soon you will come to a wall (the block before the
wall has a MUSHROOM in it).
For this next part, simply get around the walls taking out what
you can. Eventually you will come to an area where there are
tons of Coins. Get what you can there, but head to the bottom
area and take out the blocks in your way. Now follow the path
all the way around (don't worry there aren't any enemies here),
and once you're through it continue on, avoiding the Roto-Disc
and taking out the wall of blocks. You will then see two sets
of blocks, but take out the upper set because it has a MUSHROOM
in it. After that, head past the pipe, getting the Coins, and
avoid the Fist Mashers. Past that, take out the blocks and get
ready for another boss fight!
BOSS #4: GIANT CLOUD
Now this will be rather tough. The setup is you're in an
open room, but so is a giant cloud, which will move around
rather quickly shooting Flying Birds at you. There is no
real strategy here except to avoid it when it gets close.
You could try staying along the leftside going up and down
shooting at it and any Flying Birds coming your way. After
enough hits, it will be defeated.
Don't rest up too quickly, because the moment that boss is
gone, Tatanga will rise up from the ground in his ship and the
real fun will begin. Get ready for the final battle!
BOSS #5: TATANGA
This will be very tough. The set is the same as before,
you're in an open room. Tatanga will shoot fireballs at you
from his ship, which will then break down into small
fireballs. You can take them out, but it would be tricky, so
just avoid them. Tatanga will stay along the right wall
bouncing up and down, so just shoot at him when you get an
opening. After enough successful hits, he will be defeated!
After the fight, the entire level will disappear, and Mario
will fly through the sky. The next scene shows Mario with the
real Princess Daisy reunited, then going off to the Mario's
space ship, flying through the skies. With that, you have
completed the game, so I say to you, congradulations on beating
Super Mario Land for the Gameboy!

25. SPARKBALLS: These electric balls kinda just sit around and
do nothing. Avoid these at all times.
26. FIST MASHERS: These are giant fists that will block your
way. Avoid these at all times.
------
C: |Bosses|
------
This is a list of all of the bosses in the game:
BOSS #1: GIANT SPHINX (from World 1-3)
For this fight, you will be presented with a Giant Sphinx
monster, that spits fireballs.
BOSS #2: GIANT SERPENT (from World 2-3)
The setup will be a giant serpent will go up and down
shooting firebals, as well as a giant fireball bouncing
BOSS #3: ROCK THROWER (from World 3-3)
This boss is fairly easy.
Use whatever strategy you
want to take this one out.
BOSS #4: GIANT CLOUD (from World 4-3)
Now this will be rather tough.
BOSS #5: TATANGA (from World 4-3)
This will be very tough. The set is the same as before,
you're in an open room. Tatanga will shoot fireballs at you
from his ship, which will then break down into small
fireballs. You can take them out, but it would be tricky, so
just avoid them. Tatanga will stay along the right wall
bouncing up and down, so just shoot at him when you get an
opening. After enough successful hits, he will be defeated!

Like anyone would read this but something new I've been toying
around with is the idea of taking donations. After making as many

can donate as much as you want to my PayPal account ^_^. Email me

Super Mario Land 2 was pretty much like Super Mario World, only 3
times smaller. It isn't exactly a huge favorite, but I didn't hate
it either. It was a decent short game for it's time, but that's
about it. It was different, storywise, which also opened the way
for a new series to take place (Wario Land), so I guess it had
it's moments. Why this walkthrough, well if I'm gonna make Secret
Goal FAQs for Super Mario World and Secret Stars FAQ for Super
Mario 64, I might as well make this FAQ. I made this walkthrough
the best way I can and I hope it helps out in every way possible.
Now here comes the important stuff you need to read.
Ok, I'll make this quick and simple. This walkthrough is my work.
I've made this walkthrough, describing the game the best possible
way I can. You can use whatever info you want, so long as you give
me credit and don't alter anything. All you have to do is email me
at StarFighters76@hotmail.com if you're gonna do anything with
this walkthrough. And to show that I'm not a complete selfish
bastard, if you have something you wanna add, email me and I will
give you full credit ^_^. This walkthrough, like many others are
intended for GameFAQs ONLY. You want it on your site, well you
better start emailing me. Failure to comply with this, and I will
be mad, among other things.
