What we believe
Endeavouring to be a New Testament Church, our beliefs and worship are grounded on how we understand the Bible. We believe the original Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired and inerrant Word of God and to us are the great authority for belief and practice.

Our worship is what is commonly called traditional. We are careful to note that music does not dominate the New Testament (singing being mentioned only eight times in the NT outside of heaven) and therefore it ought not to dominate our worship. We believe in reverence for God, but by that we do not mean dullness. “The glorious gospel of the blessed God” should find its expression in the joyful worship of His people. We understand salvation to be by faith alone apart from human works or merit, but we also believe that good works will accompany a true believer’s experience.

The preaching is designed to point sinners to Jesus Christ as the only Saviour, and to build up believers in the faith. In all this we see ourselves as poor servants of the Lord Jesus Christ, but ever longing to be more faithful to Him.

The Church uses the Authorised version of the Bible in public worship, Hymns of Faith on Sunday morning and Sacred songs and solos on Sunday Evening.

It is our desire not only to make ourselves known to you but to introduce you to Jesus Christ and His gospel, which we believe to be the only answer to the needs and problems of today, both in our own individual lives and in the world we live.
