VISTA (Stafford) Lightning is a U-18 (Born 8/1/83 or younger) boys' soccer team. We are based in Stafford County, Virginia. Practices are held at Quantico Marine Base and North Stafford High School, and we play home league games at Kincheloe Field in Northern Virginia. We usually play in six or seven tournaments throughout the year, and tournaments are as near as Fredericksburg or as far as South Carolina.

Stafford Lightning was formed in 1994. Formerly part of ODSL, Lightning is currently an NCSL team and will play in Division III this fall. The team's record can be found here. Our coach is Donnie Hughes, and his is assisted by his two sons. Mr. Hughes has 28 years experience coaching soccer, and both sons played on the Hampden-Sydney soccer team during their college years. Don, Jr. currently plays for the Northern Virginia Royals.

Lightning is always interested in attracting new players. We also welcome anyone wishing to sharpen their skills to join us for our open practice sessions. For more information:
