3/11/05 - We found a wonderful house for a wonderful price. The owner is a dear believer--a widow lady. It's a 2-story with 3 bedrooms/1 bath and the living room, dining room, kitchen and one bath downstairs. The kitchen isn't much to brag about--no cupboards, but it does have a tiled in sink with RUNNING WATER!!! HOORAY! It also has a tiled counter with stove burners built right into it--very Mexican in style. This is way more than most places have. Often the kitchen is just a room. If you can find a place that has a sink, you're blessed . . . so we feel spoiled. All the rooms (including the bathrooms) are beautifully tiled, so we just can't believe the price we've gotten it for. There is also a place for Charlie to park the truck and a small patio out back for washing and drying clothes and to give Prince a place to run a little.

She also has some furniture she is leaving us to use, and we can pay her a little extra each month to buy what we want to keep. That's a major blessing, too. We put the deposit down on it yesterday and will take possession when Charlie gets back from his short trip to the States at the end of March.

Now I have a home to look forward to with RUNNING WATER IN THE KITCHEN, TOO . . . what joy! That will make our little one-room temporary housing situation better in the meantime.
