SCOPE
To publish research papers of fundamental and applied aspects on seaweeds. To publish papers on seaweed utilisation such as agar,carrageenan,algin, manure, liquid fertilizer, poultry and cattle feed and edible products for human consumption.

Information to Authors for preparation of Manuscript


Contributors are requested to follow strictly the guidelines given below in order to avoid unnecessary corrections and revision in the style of manuscript. Original research and critical review articles on Seaweed Research and Utilisation are considered for publication in this journal. Manuscripts are welcome from any
country, but must be written in English. The manuscripts in duplicate including figures and tables must be sent to Dr. N. Kaliaperumal, Editor, Seaweed Research and Utilisation, Marine Fisheries Post - 623 520, Tamilnadu, India.
The Title should be short, specific and informative. This should be followed by the name(s) of the author(s) with initials and full address(es) of the establishment(s) where the work was done. Any change in the address(es) of the author(s) may be stated as a foot note. The Abstracts should not exceed 500 words. Each abstract should clearly state the objective of the study, results and conclusion. Text: Manuscript should be typed in double space and have wide margins. Words to be italicized should be underlined. Manuscript should include the following sections: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements and Literature cited. Authors should mark their desired placement of all tables and figures.Literature Cited : References may be cited in the text using the following formats : Subramanian (1968),(Subramanian, 1968), Subramanian et al. (1968),
(Subramanian et aI., 1968), (Subramanian 1968, 1970, 1972). Literature cited should be arranged alphabetically according to the surname of the first author and
formalities as in the following examples. Care must be taken while typing cama, semicolan etc. The titles of journals should be abbreviated according to the world list of Scientific periodicals and should be given in italic or underlined.

Visakhapatnam, 134 pp. Each Table should be numbered in Arabic numerals and
must be typed on separate page and have a concise title. More than 10 columns should be avoided. Column headings should include units of measurements.For
improving the quality of the tables, horizontal lines should be used. Avoid all vertical lines. All symbols or abbreviations used must be briefly and clearly explained in foot notes. Line drawings should be in the finished form suitable
for direct reproduction in Indian ink on tracing paper. Photographs should be very clear and sharp. They should be relevant to the subject. Line drawings and photographs should have legends and they should be given in separate sheets. Legends for the figures and plates should be typed on separate sheets and should
not be affixed to the illustrations. The proper place of the figures and plates should be marked in pencil at the margin of the text. Colour photographs can be published at the author's expense. The editorial board is the final authority regarding acceptance or rejection of any manuscript. The author(s) have to pay the printing chargesfor publication of their papers. Twenty five gratis reprints will
be supplied to the author(s).Manuscript for publication may be submitted in CD or e-mail attchment alongwith two print outs.
