Audio Technica Hyper Cardioid Stereo mics > Sharp MD 831 > TDK SG Gold Mini Discs > Pro Tools > .aiff (.wav) > .shn This recording was made standing in a "crows nest" area about 35 - 40 feet from the stage (and about 10 - 13 feet above the floor) with no one in front of me. It is very clear. I have yet to get (read : BUY) a Stereo Mini Plug > Optical > USB converter/cable so the transfer from MD to computer (Mac G4) was executed with a gold plated stereo mini plug cable and sounds very good.

Pro Tools Info

Peaks and valleys in the recording level were adjusted for a more even sound (allowing for dynamic shifts in the sound). The bass mix in the show was high and a little muddy, so bass was eq'ed down 1.5 decibels. Treble and mid-ranges were raised 0.5, 1.0, & 1.5 decibels. Fades at beginning and ends. Entire show was raised 2 - 4 decibels, Normalised and bounced to disc as .aiff's (.wav's) and burned to CD via Roxio Toast Titanium or converted into .shn's.
