Welcome to my spay/neuter web site! This is a very important subject and one area where otherwise dedicated pet owners fail to meet their responsibilities. Many see this issue as just a natural process of life - which it is - but it's becoming just as natural to destroy thousands of healthy but unwanted animals. No one likes to think about healthy, beautiful, and affectionate cats, dogs, puppies and kittens losing their lives because no one wants them. Shelters offer food and shelter and in most cases care very much about the animals. However, the number of pets in shelters out number available homes for these pets. Is it fair for these animals to lose their lives? No! Pet owners need to take responsibility for their pets and if they aren't willing to keep and care for all of the kittens produced, then they need to spay/neuter their pets. Is it okay to allow your pet to breed if you find homes for all of the kittens/puppies? No! What you are actually doing is knocking a shelter or feral animal out of a home. While doing research for this site, I learned many things that I wish didn't exist. The figures are staggering! I'd like to share those with you on the following pages.
