There is no point in wearing hijab if you are going to wear makeup (unless your still in the weaning stage ie you just converted and you
are having a hard time letting go but intend to do so) because that is giving people a double message.
The hijab says go away and the makeup says come hither. Makeup attracts men, that's a fact, so does perfume and nail polish. We are not allowed to do things which attract men even if we think we are not intending to attract them.
That's not the point. The point is it does attract them so we have to avoid it. We have to follow what the Quran says which is to not show our beauty or beautify ourself in any way in front of non-mahram. Allah can see what is in our hearts but perverts can't. Its
