Angelo Reyes & MMDA Chair Bayani Fernando, was a great success, well-attended by top gov't. officials led by Pres.GMA, members of the diplomatic corps, high society figures, tycoons and military top brass. It evolved into an impromptu late-night mini-runion right there in the lobby of the tenth floor. The group then proceeded to Starbucks in Rockwell, Makati, , to continue listening to Sol and Cocoi's recounting of the DC Reunion and related matters. Oct 3 - A sad day. Betsy Navas Coscolluela passed on due to pancreatic cancer. Sep 22 - Luncheon Bienvenida for Ingrid Veluz and boyfriend Jim who were in Manila for a two-week visit at Beth (Fatima Sison) Tagle's residence in White Plains, Q.C. By the way, Beth is the president of the Aliw Awards. Aug 1 - get-together dinner at Millie Braganza's pad in Legaspi Village Makati, to welcome Connie Lobrin Ellery. who flew in from Riyad for a short vacation. | April 27 - PhilGGs joined Sol Balda-Ilagan and Sr. Nieves in visiting the new wing (guests' wing) of the SP Pasig's nuns' quarters, the nearly- finished Vigil House in Taytay and the beautifully conceptualized museum (Heritage Center) at the SPC novitiate in Antipolo (a must- see). The GGs then went to Divisoria to shop, and thereafter visited Sr. Caritas who is confined at the Fe del Mundo Hospital on Banaue. She fractured her femur after a fall, and was operated on last Tuesday. Alate dinner at Max's Restaurant in Greenbelt capped the day. |
