The nearest airport is conveniently situated only 90km away at Madrid with world wide flights available.  Car hire can be arranged locally although it is better to arrange it in advance from the UK.  Alternatively ferry crossings can be made to mainland Europe but with the village being situated in central Spain there will be a 4 to 5 hour drive from Santander.  However, this will of course allow you the freedom of your own car for the duration of your holiday to visit the numerous attractions.
Piedralaves is a village in the Province of Castile and Leon, in the Ávila area near to the Sierra de Gredos mountains. Piedralaves is situated on the C501 road between San Martin de Valdeglesias and Arenas de San Pedro, approximately 90k from Madrid, 83k from Ávila and about the same from Toledo.
