pride and prejudice

Pride and prejudice Jane Austen. published by Penguin Group. 80 Strand ,London WC2R 0RL, England. First published 1813. 10407 Song Da som Elizabeth is second eldest daughter of Bennet family after her sister, Jane, and also beauty after Jane. One day, rich and charming young man Mr Bingley came to Netherfield with his sister and his friend Mr Darcy who is the owner of half of the Derbyshire. Elizabeth thought of Mr Darcy as a cold , disagreeable and rude man. Once, Elizabeth so hated Mr Darcy, but as she gets to know about Mr Darcy more and more, she realized that she had prejudice about Mr Darcy. Suddenly, she fell in love with him. Finally, Mr Darcy proposed to her to marry. During the ball, Elizabeth's friend Charlotte said to her. 'If she doesn't show her feelings at all, even to the man she loves, she may lose the opportunity of catching him.' This line really attracts readers who are especially fell in love or about to love someone. Generally, people who love somebody, they easily intend not to show their feelings to his of her partner because they are shy. The book 'pride and prejudice' shows readers complex of love between man and woman and purify readers' mind with clear messages of true love. It may be possible that readers think of this book as very boring and slow, but this happens to only who have not experienced true love. Author of pride and prejudice, Jane Austen, gives readers message, encouraging readers to follow only true love. As Elizabeth rejected Mr Collins's proposal, even though that Mr Collins will get every property that her father possesses, Jane Austen also rejected several proposals. It was obvious to see that Jane Austen were talking through Elizabeth indirectly. When we love someone , we should not be disturbed by anything other than honesty of our feeling. As it is mentioned on the beginning, expressing love also important. No matter how much Jane Bennet loved Mr Bingley, he had no way to be sure of her feeling about him because Jane Bennet did not express the way that she feels. In modern days , people freely, actively and without consideration, show to their boyfriend or girlfriend how much they love by saying lovely words or in actions. However, they don't seem to have such a deep love that both Jane and Elizabeth had. This book makes readers to think of virtue of true love. As readers read through, it's quite possible to see how much characters care about each other deep inside. Although the 'pride and prejudice' is very hearted literature, it has a big limitation. Big social gap between Bennets and Mr Bingley or Mr Darcy. Both Jane and Elizabeth married a rich man. This fact makes this story more fascinating , but it is very dangerous to readers because readers would easily think of wealth as one of the elements to love someone and to be happy. It's understandable that Jane Austen created both two male characters as very rich men, to make more twist and interest. Even though wealthy men in the book makes female readers to dream about their future man ,but honestly it is far from reality which loosen the connection between book and readers. Making Mr Darcy and Mr Bingley less wealthy would be more realistic . One of the emotional part in the book pride and prejudice is cross of Mr Darcy's mind before he propose to Elizabeth. He knew that his neighbors and especially Lady Catherine de Bourgh , Mr Darcy's aunt, would not be fond of Elizabeth in terms of her family's attitude and how she is uneducated. It would have been easier to Mr Darcy to marry Lady Catherine's daughter, Miss Anne de Bourgh. However, he decided not to hide his feeling and chose who he really loves, Elizabeth. Mr Darcy's conviction to his love was fascinating enough to impress female readers. 'Pride and prejudice' is especially for the teen age girls. Also, Jane Austen described details in indirect ways. so as readers read they better to assume how characters feel every moment of situation also imagine that readers are the characters in the book. So it would be easier to catch what the Author meant to say. In addition, this book includes many different types of women. While reading the book it would be fun to compare each characters or compare to readers themselves, for instance, try to see how Jane and her mother are different. Jane is very quiet and calm pretty young woman, in contrast, her mother Mrs Bennet is very outgoing ,always noisy. However, most importantly, do not forget that purpose of reading 'Pride and prejudice' is finding true meaning of love.
