Butterfly Janis & Alice
A web site for smart girls who impact their world, achieve their goals, read good books, listen to the best music, and wear very interesting clothes.
Welcome to the beginning of Butterfly Janis & Alice.  This site is designed to inform you, entertain you, educate you, and learn from you.  BJA will feature previously unpublished literature, current events, interactive discussions, music and movie reviews, and letters to and from the editor, all of which affect us as young women of the arts.  BJA encourages any and all readers to participate with us in our quest to better ourselves and our craft, whatever form we each take.

To Study, or Not to Study?
How important are private lessons for the young artist?  Whether a dancer, vocalist, instrumentalist, sculptor, or writer, you must find a way to achieve your full potential.  Does private study really help, or is it a waste of your money?  What if your parents won't pay?  We asked young women to give their opinions, and they did.
632 (aka my life as an undiscovered rock star)
Sometimes the road to success takes a turn through waitress-ville.  Can you ever really get out, or will the swamps of suburbia suck you down to a horrible death?  Hear one girl's theory.
