This website very out of date, and I thought it was inaccessible until I found that Tina still had it on the NDA website. Maybe I'll update it if I have time this summer 2006. A thought about winter...

The Blizzard

The blinding blizzard forbids me to retrieve my forgotten purse at home, so I eat stale pretzels at my desk for lunch and dream of living in the desert next winter. Settling into the driver's seat at 5:10, I marvel at the Winter Wonderland that Worcester has become. Then I bravely pull out and creep around the bend -- a hypervigilant pilot without a license. Young families have been lured into the night by the Currier and Ives portrait that nature has painted. I swear at them as I swerve back and forth across the road. I want no pedestrian sainted. A monstrous ton of steel passes me on the right and I'm challenged by several brutish four-wheel drives, but I manuever slowly, purposefully and expertly. I arrive home safely. My front tires spin in snow piled there during the day
by city plows. Then more snow avalanches onto the roof of my car. I get out to shovel and I am angry about the snowflakes falling
on my hatless head.
City Hall would hear about this.
