My name is Jane Covington and I'd like to introduce you to some of my family. The little people on this page are family…. Extended family …
because most of them have found new homes, but like my human children who have also established their own homes, they are still very much a part of me.

I am a wife, mother, grandma,
Master Flower Show Judge, and dollmaker, all by preference and a lot of luck. I am a Medical Technologist and Chemist by education. A Texan by birth and a Michigan resident because I like the cool summers.

I work in porcelain as well as polymer clay, but I do not do porcelain originals because I don't like doing more than one doll of a kind. I can work fast but usually do not. I am working at becoming an eccentric.
I admire Grandma
Moses and Georgia O'Keefe.

I must like a doll's personality or I don't finish it. My favorites are saucy little old ladies with attitudes. I wonder why! I love watching others reacting to  my dolls.

My favorite two statements - "She looks just like ________!" And  "I know her!"
I am thrilled when someone looks at a picture of one of my dolls and asks, "How big is it?"  I know then that I've achieved proper scale, which I consider of utmost importance
.
