This unique Sarzin Metallic Cachet features an armored knight on horseback stabbing cancer, represented by a crab, with the American Cancer Society's Sword of Hope.  Sarzin's unique cachets were created by first impressing the image onto a thin metallic plate which was then pasted to the paper envelope.  They were very popular at one time, however they are no longer being produced.  Due to the nature of the cachet, it is very difficult to get a good scan of one.  The image above does not do the actual cachet justice.  Sarzin created their first cachet for the 5c N. Y. World's Fair stamp issued April 22, 1964.
