Hello and Welcome to The Magic Math Resource for the K-4 Teacher. I have developed this page basically as a resource for myself and for other teachers. I am a Primary Special Education Teacher and I am always looking for creative ways to teach math concepts. At my school the regular education teachers use Everyday Math. I feel that my special education children should also be familiar with this program since it is a common language in our building. This is a great program for the average child and can be a good program for kids with mild learning disabilities if it is adapted to meet their needs. Thus, is another reason for this page; I have found that Everyday Math teaches concepts in spirals and does not teach a particular concept for a long period of time. Thus when I use the Everyday Math program with some of my kids; I turn to the Web and various books for both drill and practice and more lesson ideas to ensure that my students fully understand the concepts. Enjoy!
