I've created this page to explain the relationship between gemstones and some of the characters of Sailor Moon. Some of these relationships are rather obvious and some are not. After exploring this page, you just might have a better understanding of Sailor Moon.

Helios
Helios has a lot of names for some reason. He has been called Erios, Eriosu, Pegasus, Elios, and Helios. Now, I'm beginning to wonder if they are all just nicknames for his REAL name. You see, there is a certain yellow gemstone called Heliodor in existance. Maybe Helios' real name is Heliodor.... It certainly gives you something to think about, now doesn't it?

Heliodor is yellow in color and very rare. The Golden Crystal that Helios protects is yellow in color too. Do you think Helios guards a golden crystal made of Heliodor? Another thing to think about.

Prince Diamond/Demando
Prince Diamond is a very well known Sailor Moon villain. He was in love with Sailor Moon and obviously Sailor Moon didn't love him. Prince Diamond was convinced that he could use his powers to make Sailor Moon fall in love with him but of course it never worked.

It's pretty obvious that the gemstone associated with Prince Diamond is a Diamond. A diamond is the hardest known gemstone on Earth and Prince Diamond is the stubbornest (most hard-headed) guy in the universe. He loved Sailor Moon until the day he died. That's pretty stubborn if you ask me. Yes, a diamond is definitely this guy's gemstone.

Emerald
Emerald had to have been one of the most conceited Sailor Moon villains. She thought WAY too much of herself. Emerald was convinced that she was the most beautiful woman in the universe. Emerald was in love with Prince Diamond and he didn't love her. She couldn't understand why he loved Sailor Moon instead of her. Emerald died screaming Prince Diamond's name. It was a tragic ending for Emerald.

Emeralds are obviously her gemstone. She wears emerald green stones on her dress. Her hair is green. Everything about her is green...except for her eyes and skin. She is even green with envy! Yes, emeralds are definitely her gems.

Sapphire
Sapphire was Prince Diamond's younger sibling. He is a very interesting Sailor Moon villain because he didn't really want to be evil. The only reason he became evil was because of his loyalty to his older brother, Prince Diamond.

Sapphire discovered Wise Man's plot to use the Dark Moon Family to take over the future so he stole the card that controlled the Dark Crystal. Wise Man attacked Sapphire, badly injuring him. Sapphire managed to escape with the card. He collapsed in a park and Prisma found him. She and her three sisters used to be members of the Dark Moon Family but they became good, thanks to Sailor Moon. Prisma brought Sapphire back to her apartment where she bandaged his wounds and pleaded with him to stay. Sapphire was in love with Prisma and she was in love with him but Sapphire refused to stay. He insisted that he had to warn his brother. He took the card and left to find Prince Diamond.

Wise Man had brainwashed Prince Diamond into thinking that Sapphire was a traitor. Sapphire found his brother and told him what Wise Man's plans were but he didn't believe him. Wise Man attacked Sapphire and this time, he killed him. This was a terrible ending for Sapphire. I felt very sorry for Prisma and even Prince Diamond. This was one of those very touching moments in the series "Sailor Moon".

Sapphire's gemstone is obviously the sapphire. Sapphire's outfit is sapphire blue and his hair is sapphire blue, even his eyes are sapphire blue. The sapphire is a gemstone that has been associated with royalty for centuries and Sapphire belonged to an evil royal family. There is not a gemstone in the universe that suits Sapphire more.
