Cordelia was born and raised in Sunnydale. Her parents gave her a car after she passed driver's ed. Cordelia, initially made friends with Buffy, thinking that, being from L.A, she had to be cool, but when Buffy a) mistakenly attacked her with a stake at the Bronze while searching for a vampire and b) started hanging around with "losers" Willow and Xander, Cordelia shunned the slayerettes as the lamest of the lame. After witnessing so many vampire events, she still has little appreciation for Buffy, but she still gets to be part of the club. Cordelia and Xander finally admit that they are in love.
