see flashing lights passing by
I close my eyes and I can see
firefighters on the scene
Adrenal rushing through their veins
working hard, working together
rushing to knock down walls,
To ventilate a roof,
dragging hose, hooking it up
to hydrants and water flowing,
Mostly I picture a child in their arms
bringing him or her to saftey.
Heroes they are and heroes to the end.
Backbone and courage
to face life and death
backbone and courage to
to give thier best and to give their all
when line of duty it does call.
there's no doubt
this is what they are all about
