L'Inverno Drabbles

I was bored. I posted a sonnet in my LJ, and asked people if they knew where it was from. I promised drabbles. No one got it right without Google and/or massive hints, but since I felt like writing...

Anyway, here they are. All shippy, which, if you know my friends, isn't a big surprise. Het and slash, G to NC-17. The sonnet which started it all is at the bottom of the page.

Mal/Inara PG, for HawkMoth
Mal/Jayne PG-13, for Eleanor K.
Jayne/Simon NC-17, for llaras.
Mal/Jayne/Simon NC-17, for sffan.
Simon/Inara PG, for Inalasahl.
Mal/Simon PG, for QueenB.

Aggiacciato tremar tra nevi algenti
Al severo spirar d'orrido vento,
Correr battendo i piedi ogni momento;
E pel soverchio gel batter i denti;

Passar al fuoco i dì quieti e contenti
Mentre la pioggia fuor bagna ben cento.
Caminar sopra 'l giaccio, e a passo lento,
Per timor di cader, girsene intenti.

Gir forte, sdruzziolar, cader a terra,
Di nuovo ir sopra 'l giaccio e crrer forte
Sinch' il giaccio si rompe e si disserra;

Senti uscir dalle ferrate porte
Sirocco, Borea, e tutti i venti in guerra.
Quest'è 'l verno, ma tal che gioia apporte.

To tremble from cold in the icy snow,
In the harsh breath of a horrid wind;
To run, stamping our feet every moment,
Our teeth chattering in the extreme cold.

Before the fire to pass peaceful,
Contended days while the rain outside pours down.
To walk on the ice and, at a slow pace
(For fear of falling), move carefully.

To make a bold turn, slip, fall down.
To go on the ice once more and run hard
Until the ice cracks and breaks up.

To hear the Sirocco, Boreas, and all
The winds at war leave their iron gates:
This is winter, but, even so, what joy it brings!

L'Inverno (Winter) from The Four Seasons, by Antonio Vivaldi
Yes, it's a violin solo, but it's based on four sonnets. Maybe I should do one challenge for each season?
