Meet Sheila and Pesto

Sheila and Pesto are my two Australian Shepherds.
They are very special dogs!

PESTO

SHEILA

In September of 1997, Sheila had a litter of 6 adorable puppies! They were all black except for Pesto, who was a blue merle.

UPDATE! On January 1st, 2001, Sheila became a Grandma!
Schooner (aka "Dash", 4th from left!) is the daddy of a beautiful litter
Congratulations to Schooner's new owner, Sharon Harris. Schooner is now in a happy home on a ranch in Ellensburg, with plenty of playmates: other dogs, horses, cattle... and the list goes on!
He has turned out a mirror image of his mom.
One of these days, I will check up on some of the other puppies
and see if there are any more exciting developments!

Little Pesto was in her first conformation show
when she was 2 1/2 months old.
She was in one show on Saturday of that weekend, and another on Sunday.
She did really well, and won her 2-4 month puppy class in both shows.
I wanted to pursue obedience with her. I know she has potential,
but as it turns out, I lack the time to give her the time she deserves.
If I wasn't so busy with riding, I would work with her more!

Sheila went through obedience classes as a puppy, but never took to it like Pesto has. She is too active to hold her focus on anything for that long! So I started jumping her over homemade jumps in my backyard. She loves it!
It's a way for her to use up her energy other than playing frisbee.
Sometime, I would like to do agility classes with her..
