Elite Ring

Things to do:

How to join the ring

Here are the steps that need to be followed to join the Ring of the Elite. Be sure to follow each step word-by-word, and not skip any.
  1. Click Here and read the content guidelines. After making sure your site meets all of the requirements, you may proceed to the next step.
  2. Fill out the below form to register your site. Your page will then be in the Elite Ring 'Queue', where it will remain until someone adds you to the ring. This does not insert you in the ring; the actual insertion is done later.

    Your page's URL

    Your page's title

    Your email address

This must be a valid address, or your site ID will never reach you.

    Password

The password allows you to later add others to the ring. Please do not forget it!
If you have any problems, e-mail ringelite@hotmail.com.

    Keywords

You can have up to 20 keywords that match your site.

    Description

Please make sure the description is as short as possible.

  3. You will then receive an email giving you the HTML fragment you will need on your page, and the instructions to set it up. Follow the steps closely to ensure that you will not break the ring.

    Important Note:
If you have not received an email after 48 hours, then you either entered an invalid email address, or just misspeeled it. Just fill out the above form again, and you should be fine.

  4. E-mail the owner of an existing Elite Ring site and ask them to add you to the ring. If you don't know anyone to ask, click Here for a random member's site. Be sure to include your Site ID Number, and URL in the e-mail message. They will then look at your page to make sure it is worthy of addition, follows the requirements, and has the Elite Ring HTML fragment correctly added.

If after 72 hours the member you have emailed has not added you, or told you why, then email ringelite@hotmail.com with the same information. He's pretty tough on site content, so It's better to just find another member to ask. He also don't have the time to tell each individual why he will not add them, so please don't take it as an offence if you simply receive an email simply saying "sorry".

  5. After checking out your page, the existing Elite Ring site's owner will take your Site ID Number and use it to add you to the ring. You should then receive an email telling you that you're in.
  6. That's it! You should now be able to navigate the entire ring until you make it back to your own page (although it may take a while). An easy way to make sure it's working is to go to the homepage of the person who added you and see if the next button takes you to your own page.

Content Guidelines

  • No more than five different rings may be on any given page.
  • Sites must have real content. A page with only links and Java will not be added into the ring. If a page is Under Construction, it must not be to a point where there is hardly any content.
  • Absolutely no nudity will be tolerated!
  • The HTML fragment must be put on the URL you register, unless you have a short entrance page. If you have more then one version of your site, the fragment must be on all versions.
  • The Elite Ring fragment may not be on a sub-page of the actual site.
  • Sites must be worthy of the title Elite. In other words, they have to look graphically beautiful, contain great content, and most importantly, they gotta kick some butt!
