The Scientific Institute for English
and Computer was founded in Nizwa in 1992. We provide quality
training in the English Language and in Computers at a low cost
for the people of the interior of Oman.
Since we specialize in teaching English and Computer, we are able to
provide the highest quality training in both areas. Our teachers
and trainers have excellent- qualifications and considerable
experience.
Many companies and government ministries require English or
Computer training qualifications. Upon the successful completion
of courses, we issue certificates which help students in finding
good Jobs or in improving their positions in their present Jobs.
The Vocational Training Directorate attests all certificates.
General Information
The institute offers special summer classes for young people ages
12-15 years old. In addition, if there is sufficient demand and
interest, we are happy to teach "Ladies Only" classes.
Also during the year we offer a TOEFL preparation course and a
special advanced class for English banking.
Registrations and testing
start approximately one month prior to the beginning of courses.
Computer Training
The computer-training program is for those with little or no
previous knowledge of computers or anyone interested in learning
some of the most popular software programs in the world.
Courses are offered in both English and Arabic, with an emphasis
on the practical applications of computers, the courses are
ideally suited for those who are seeking good employment
prospects or for those who own personal computers. We offer both
long and short courses as well as training on the Internet.

English Language
The English Language program enables students at any level of
English to progress to higher levels. Prospective students are
tested to determine the level at which to start. The teaching
follows an American curriculum with 13 different course levels.
Anyone wanting to learn English, for any number of reasons, can
find just the right course. Native speakers of English teach all
English courses.
