Welcome to my website!!
Jeep trails and hiking trails, ghost towns and abandoned mining sites, rattlesnakes and chuckwallas, scorpions and tarantulas, sand dunes and salt flats, mountains and canyons, joshua trees and prickly pears.  These are just some of the things that I love about the great deserts of the United States.  In this site I will try to share some of my experience and provide you with useful information in order to help you explore the desert too.
Hello, my name is Jim Todt and I live in Gallup, New Mexico.  Gallup is ideally located for exploring all the deserts because it is within an easy day's drive (or less) of all the major deserts: Mohave, Sonoran, Chihuahuan, Colorado, and Great Basin.  My favorite activities in the desert are hiking, exploring by Jeep, and observing the fascinating wildlife (especially reptiles and amphibians).  Because you are visiting this site some of these things must be your favorites too.
