General Site Questions
When was your site created?
Our site was originally created by Chris in October of 2000. It started out as a basic little site hosted by Expage.com, obviously it has grown to be a lot better over the years.
Why is your site called Smokey's Index?
Well the name of Chris's old mouse was Smokey and his nickname used to be Smokey, so when he first made this site on Expage he named his site Smokey's Index. He added the index because at first the site was going to be an Nintendo64 Cheat site, so the site would have been an index for cheats. You following?
What age group is your site aimed at?
The age group our site is aimed at is mostly 12-18 year olds. Our site is basically a free for all site for teens to hang out on and have fun.
How would you classify your site?
Our site would be classified as PG13 because of coarse language and some content that relates to teen/adult-like humor. Not to mention the fact that our site is aimed at a teen audience. mmmmk?
Are you planning on buying a domain name?
Yes, sometime in the future we plan on buying our own domain name smokeysindex.com....but for now we'll stick with the bootleg subdomains yeh!
Is there a certain theme to your site?
No, not really, theres humor, music, graphics, and other various things. Our site is a "free for all entertainment site". Are we suppossed to have a theme???
Did you use HTML to make your site or another source?
Hmmm lets see...since we don't know any other ways to make a website I'd have to say HTML.
How can I become an affiliate to your site?
Click on the "Apply" on the bottom of the affiliates list on the main page. Then read the requirements and fill out the form, make sure to give us your email address. Oh! Don't forget to click send!
Can I use the graphics on your site for my own personal use?
What kind of jackass are you? No our graphics our copyrighted to us! No stealing fruitcake!
Who founded this site?
Chris did because he was the one who originally made this site 2 years ago on Expage. Then he asked his koolest cousin (me Bryan) to help him run the site. Ain't it great!?
Why does your site suck so bad?

Staff Questions
Are there any staff openings?
At the moment there are no staff openings. Right now we are getting the site organized and sorted out. Eventualy we (I) will need someone to help with the graphics such as wallpaper and headers, preferably someone who is familiar with paintshop pro and, or flash.
How can I become a staff member?
If you are interested in becoming part of the Smokey's Index staff (whenever openings are available) go to the staff section. Click on the apply link. Fill out the form with your name, the email address you want us to respond to,your age (if you do not wish to supply us with your age you do not have to), the job that you are applying for, and include a link to atleast 3 examples of your work; graphics you've made, reviews or editorials you've writen, etc.
What are the requirements for becoming a staff member?
You must have a basic knowledge of HTML and you need to know what HTML is (Hyper Text Mark-up Language). You must be between the ages of 13 and 16. Otherwise it depends on whatever job you're applying for. If you're applying for say, a graphic designer, then you need to be familiar with paintshop pro or flash, or some kind of good graphics design program. If you're applying for the job of reviewer or interviewer then you need to be a good writer, and you need to have good social skills. Thats pretty much it, again it depends on what job you're applying for.
Do I get paid?
Hell no who do you think I am Bill Gates? If I don't have enough money to buy a domain yet I can't pay you for being part of the staff. Your reward is your satisfaction with your work and recognition by other webmasters and visitors to the site.
How often do I have to help update?
You atleast have to post an update or do a little work on the site once a week. You can't just be part of the staff and sit on your ass and expect to be recognized as part of the team. Get it?
Do I have to give out personal info as a staff member?
The only personal info that we ask you to give out is your first name, your email, address, your age, and maybe a few things about you like your hobbies. It is your decision to put any other personal info on the site or to give any oother personal info to other people. It is not our responsibility as to what yout give out about yourself while being a staff member on Smokey's Index. We wwill not give out any personal info about you that you do not want other ppeople to know, as will you do the same for us.
I'm gay can I be part of the staff?
I'm gonna have to say no and never come to our site again. :)
Can I quit being a staff member?
You can quit being a staff member at anytime. If something important in your life interferes with your job as part of the Smokey's Index staff then you should step down from your position and attend to the more important matters in life. All that we ask of you is that you send one of us an email explaining why cannot be part of the staff anymore.

What types of music do you like?
We both like rock a lot, a little punk rock, Chris likes some classic rock like R.E.M., Lynard Skynard, Cream, & Chuck Berry. Chris plays the electric guitar. We like some rap, Bryan likes it more than me.
What bands do you enjoy listening to?
Chris: Bush, Adema, Nirvana, Jimmy Eat World, Unwritten Law, Good Charlotte, Cold, Staind, Hoobastank, Incubus, Linkin Park, Pearl Jam, Papa Roach, NFG, Stone Temple Pilots, & more in that genre range.

What is HTML
HTML stand for Hyper Text Mark-up Language. It is the basis for all websites and is the generally coding that most webmasters use. Proffesional webmasters use other stuff like PHP, Perl, & Linux, we have no clue what that is really, so we use HTML. For those of you who don't know what the other complicated coding/program crap is then stick with HTML.
Do you make your own graphics?
Chris makes all our graphics his own little way, so yes we do make our own graphics. Eventually we will have another staff member who make better graphics on paintshop pro and flash, but for now we think we'll stick with the old school stuff such as paint.
What is javascript?
Javascript is coding that create warning messages such as pop-ups that appear when you right click on certain websites.
Sex?
Yes please, you find some hot chics, you name the place and time, and one of us will be there!
Whats up?
Hmmm this all depends where you're standing. If you're outside in a feild you would look up and see the sky or clouds. If you're sitting under a tree you would look up and see leaves, branches, and occasionally some apples, oranges, or pears, If you're inside you would look up and see the ceiling. Basically it all depends where you're standing. If you're blind on the otherhand then you have a real problem because you do not possess the ability to look up, and you wouldn't be able to read this anyway but oh well.
