Skipping down to the meadow
Leaving plucked flowers in my wake
Feeling like a child again
I'm just enjoying this day.

Splashing in the stream water
Slipping on wet stepping stones
Laughter rings out through the trees
As I listen to the brook's bubbling tones.

God's nature all around me
Earth and sun and water and sky
All of it a part of me
Dancing 'neath a sun so bright.

Lazy clouds stroll on by
And the sun wishes it could stay
But midday soon turns to afternoon
While - wishing it could last - I just enjoy this day.

Ahh, the sun is setting: the day is done
While the sun shone bright with its dazzling rays
I've played and laughed and had my fun
As I go home, having enjoyed my day.
