Shisha Smoking Caterpillar are; Paul Edwards Deena Shobaki Colm O'Shea |
Welcome to the Shisha Smoking Caterpillar website. Here you can find information about our music, the band members, along with sounds and pictures related to our work. The band got it's name from a character in the Lewis Carroll classic, ''Alice in Wonderland'', which is also mentioned in the song ''White Rabbit'', by Jefferson Airplane. Although known in the book and song as a 'hookah smoking caterpillar' we have come to know hookah as 'shisha' as it is known in the United Arab Emirates, where we all used to live. The name therefore refers to the arabic influences in our music, and was therefore particularly suitable. On the site you can find out all about us and our individual musical influences in the Band Members section, which also includes pictures and our backgrounds. To find out information on our upcoming album go to the Album Info section which includes track information and sections of audio to download. To contact the band click on Contact Us, all feedback is welcome. There are several links in the Links section (suprisingly enough). |
