We call it
"Ponyshoes"
Sheridan, Indiana
kbrewer.jpg 1990 was our first year of pitching horeshues. Kathy Smith got us started. That's her picure. Of corse she needed help, we were alot to handle. Some of the other big pitchers from Sheraidan helped her. Our ages ranged from 6 to 18 that year. We like being called hoseshue pitchers. But we prefured to be called Ponyshues being little like we ar. We were the first awl kids legue in the A.H.P.A.. May be the first in Indiana. there was only 14 of us that year. But we had fun any way.

The A.H.P.A. gives free membership to the Youth. The Sheridan adult pitchers introduce them to a sport that goes back to the Roman days and to an era of what our grandfathers played. We also stress safety, courtesy, proper dress, sportsmanship, caring for the pits and pitching for enjoyment. The Sheridan youth program is sponsored by the Sheridan Mixed Horseshoe League.
